Default My "sluggish" Z06 picture

Just thought I would post a picture of my "Sluggish Z06". The car is so slow I thought I would put it in an area where I would fair better with my competitors.

"Sluggish" is the only way to explain the difference between 2.7 and 2.95 seconds 0-60MPH. I mean, how could you not feel the Z06 completely dragging during that 0.025 seconds?!

You could almost completely, well no, I thought you could blink your eye
in .025 but I think it takes longer.

Wow, if that car is sluggish, then I guess my C6Z is a total embarrassment.
How can I every take it our again.

It may be sluggish, but it’s not “obsolete”. So enjoy your beautiful Z. 😉

Math police checking in: The difference is actually .25 seconds.

That spread is actually a nice difference in a 1/4 mile, let alone a 0-60 sprint.

Though it seems a bit of an overstatement to call a C7 Z06 sluggish.

Compared to this.......YEAH for sure!

https://www.autoblog.com/2017/11/17/...n-fastest-car/

In addition to unveiling its new electric Semi Truck, Tesla also dished details on its next-generation Roadster. Tesla calls the all-wheel-drive EV the "quickest car in the world," with a claimed 0-60 mile-per-hour time of just 1.9 seconds. The sprint to 100 mph takes only 4.2 seconds, and its top speed is over 250 mph.

Sorry, iPhone typo. What is the estimated difference in car length of .25 seconds or basically a quarter of a second? If the ZR1 and Z06 are side by side, the ZR1 wins by how much? Half a fender? Half a car length? A full car length?

Not being facetious, just an an honest question.

Depends on which transmission is used A8 or M7.

The A8 has a big advantage on the start and does a good 60ft much easier than the M7.
The M7 will be playing catch-up in either car..25 seconds using 120 mph @ about 176 ft a second.
So .25 is roughly about a 44ft lead at 120 mph. But there are other factors, both cars are not going to be doing the same speed.

Nice thing about the sluggish Z06's is they are cheap compared and are near an equal street platform.
So no worry about a tune. My 2015 may bring what 55k?

Not many will mess with the tune or mods on the ZR1.

I'm already at near 650 rwhp pretty close to a ZR1
now. Once the build is complete and my Z06 has 720 rwhp or more the ZR1 will have become "slugglish" to the owners dismay when they find that out on a highway pull.
