Default Z06 on a trailer

Hey there to all. Would you all know what would be the best trailer to transport a Z06. i.e. uHaul hertz etc.....

Not sure if the tires would fit okay on it or is it to narrow for the rear tires??

Thank you all !!

I had to buy a new trailer when I got my Z. The previous trailer was too narrow (79 inches wide between the sides of the trailer) and the rear wheels hung off the edges of the trailer. The front wheels barely made it between the trailer fenders.

The U Haul trailer has too strikes against it. It is too narrow and the trailer isn't a flat bed. It has recessed rails the car tires ride in so the rear tires would ride on the edge of the rail Vs in it. Don't know what kind of trailers Hertz has for rent if any. My new trailer is 83 inches between the sides and the car fits nicely.

Thanks for the info on the Uhaul Bill....I was thinking of getting maybe 2 x 6 boards the length of the rails so the tires would now be ontop of the rails kind of and then tie it down....just don't know if this will work... I may go rent one and practice. I am purchasing a new Z06 and may take delivery in the NCM but I don't think I want to drive it back to Miami....

Lucky, I wish you where my neighbor buddy...looks nicer then many apartments I have visited......LOL

I agree. It will let you break it in the proper way. You can get the 500 mile oil change taken care of along the way and by the time you get home you will have shaken out some infant mortality issues so you can get them taken care of quickly. A thousand extra miles on the clock won't make any difference on resale value. Unless you use it as a daily driver it will always be a low mile car. I run mine at a lot of track events (over 1500 track miles this year) and after two years I still haven't hit 9K miles. In the month since I got back from my last track event a month ago I have only driven the car 5 or 6 times or about 100 miles.

In September I bought my car In Tampa Florida. I drove it back to New Mexico in a day and a half. It was so much fun.
