This is a great time to put the word out. We all know that Trade in value from the dealership could be an insult at best. I know you can get a tax credit but it still substantially lower then selling privately.

I'm not interested. I like the ZR1 but there is no way that I can justify spending and additional 60-80k to get what is essentially the same car. If I didn't already own a C7Z and wanted to buy a new car the decision would be tougher.

My buddy who owns an exotic service shop has plenty of Z06 in there for mods. He tried to get me to go in there when I take delivery of mine. I’m not interested in extra horsepower but for 4000 he can get you close to 850 hp. If the car does not have traction with 650 I just don’t get the having extra horse power. The truth is for this vehicle to truly be successful and compete with other cars on the market they really should make it all wheel drive.

Out of my "You spent how much!!" range for the wife's liking.. She said I have to retire some day!!!
But to be honest, I love horse Power and have a 850hp Muscle car so, that's not an issue for me... It's where can you use it other than the track? I barely get my Z06 to "Free ride to jail" speeds anymore due to traffic and crappy roads...

I won't be trading or selling my 4 month old '18 Z06 for a ZR1. I do like the new ZR1 however, even if the base 1ZR ZR1 MSRP came in under $110,000 (my estimate $109,495) it would still cost me $40,000+ to get into one. First, I can't afford that and even if I could, I wouldn't! That's a lot of money for a larger supercharger, gobs of carbon fiber pieces, 105 HP and 65 lbs. ft. of torque more than my Z06.

Ain't that the truth. We Corvette and car guys see these beautiful, sleek, high horsepower models being released and have visions in our head of driving the car through twisty mountains and long, flat open roads testing the limits of the cars. In reality, I'm driving in 35 MPH rush hour traffic, road construction dips that will damage low profile splitters, and parking in over-crowded malls hoping for the occasional open road where I can get it over 70 MPH for more than 30 seconds.
I saw this coming and found a bargain on another Z06.
Instead of a ZR1!
Figure I can have 2 Z06's one each in both the A8 and the M7 and still have extra dough. Having 2 Z06's to choose from is more fun than any 1 ZR1 IMO
I would be scared to drive. I like and buy stage 1. Lots of dips in driveway approaches everywhere and dips in roads make the huge bill out front a plain hazard.
Hated the extra carbon front bill on the last ZR1. 1 trip in a drive could cost thousands for some nonsense part on a car for street use.
Nope staying where I'm at.

No plans for a ZR1 here. I love my Z06 and at my age I don't need 755 horsepower. Quite frankly, I don't need 650 horsepower either. I've modded many cars over the years and I'm leaving my Z06 just the way it is. It's without a doubt the best "bang for the buck" car I've ever owned.

If I had the disposable cash, I would. My 600 mile 2018 Z07 will have to do for now.

Who is selling
Well it's either another corvette or the Sofa----I cannot blow my image this late in life and furthermore my time is running out....
Number 75 will be a Convertible if they do appear at the LA Auto show. Cannot make it there have prior plans and my dilemma if you call it that is Color----- Wish they would make 1 color just for ZR1s to give it a little exclusivity but that's not happening- why I do not know..
The only color I have never had is Yellow and that is tempting..
As far as power goes for years here in NY I never get out of the Eco mode...
Will be looking to sell my ceramic matrix grey ZO6 Convertible in the late Spring the way it seems to be setting up..Harvey

Wow 75 Corvettes Harvey. After that many purchases GM should be asking you what special color you would like and give it to you and the car for free.

My Z06 only has 8,000 miles on it. I'm waiting on the mid engine when a Z06 variant comes out.

I am just hoping to be able to sell the 07 vert for a 2019 Z06 vert next spring. Keeping the 2011 ZR1. I just can't justify spending even more $$$ for the 2019 ZR1 this close to retirement.

GM is not big on Freebies- but I must say over the Years GM has been good to me...
I am also lucky on two accounts concerning GM and there Corvettes.
Over all the Years I have NEVER I incountered any problems with my Corvettes---- on only one occasion and I think it was in 1998 I had one of my corvettes in for any work--- and that was for bad gas which is not GMS fault--- nothing and I mean nothing over all the Years.
Once had a convertible top replaced that was damaged on delivery and in 1965 the first year of disc brakes they squeaked like crazy and that was what started me off on my trading- went into a Milano maroon 66 Convertible --- the rest is History..
The second lucky thing with Corvettes was that I was blessed with the fact that I was able to meet Harlan Charles who has been a true Friend and I will always consider him my 3rd Son. ( of course he is hoping that it carries over into the Will)...
By the way over the years Harlan has helped me pick out Colors and inveriably the next year the color is cancelled but I still love the Guy... H
