Default 1.379 new best 60 ft

The weather was hot and the DA was bad today at ~4300 ft when I made this pass but I got a new best 60 ft at least! Why oh why couldn't I get it to hook a couple weeks ago when it was only 2100 ft DA, that would have been my 9 second pass for sure. I marked the tires and they rotated about a half inch on the wheels on both sides.

Have some go pro video from inside the car that I need to process and a buddy was there taking some pictures, he said it hiked the front wheel a bit but I'll believe it when I see it.

Oh yea, mods...

Pulley
Longtubes w/cats
CAI
E50
meth
Hoosier DRs on an 18" rear
Skinnies up front

335/30-18 Hoosier DRs
15 psi before the burnout so probably went up 2 psi for the actual pass
stock converter

I have the same tires home and just put them on my forgestar rims. I went 9.90 with a 1.55 60ft on a 19" Nitto. If I could pull a 1.3 60ft with the Hoosiers it should make a big difference.

You got it hitting hard outta the hole. Definitely in the tune...

Those spider gears are crying for help.

Too bad you can’t make a road trip to Houston for one of our RPR rentals and some -500’ air. Sucker would run 9.80s down here.

Yeah I've got a bunch of other timeslips that range from 10.036 to 10.122 with 60's in the 1.39s.

I've definitely got it set to hit hard and yes I'm worried about the rear end with those kind of 60s. I will probably pull a bit of timing out on the hit or slow down the throttle response to soften it because I really don't want to break it right now with my other project that is taking my monies. I can't even imagine what this thing would feel like at -500' air!

Awesome job!

Are you pushing on the converter or leaving off idle?

Always seems to run the fastest when I just leave off idle and flash the converter. I've tried brake stalling at various RPMs and it never does as well. I've noticed a slight delay in the blower bypass mechanically moving and closing and flashing the converter off idle helps prevent it from rolling before it starts to close.

Sweet.. I have a 67 Firebird with 850hp and it took me forever to hook it up to even get a 1.41 I got a 1.33 once and thought I nailed it.. Could never duplicate so it was a glitch.. that's why I asked. haven't taken the Z06 out yet but I have a feeling this will want to spin just as easy. That's a great time.

Here is a cool video of Drew's turbo f-body gapping me. I went 10.036 @ 137 with a 1.396 60' and Drew went 9.36 @ 149 with a 1.63 60'. Later that day he went 9.0.
