Default Porter blower with Katech 103mm TB

Going to have my blower ported along with snout. Question is should I go with the 103mm throttle body. On my previous V2 CTS-V the big throttle body made a huge difference. I searched and don’t see to much on the 103mm TB and the Z06. Any input would be appreciated.

I have a brand new 103mm TB sitting here, one day I will get some work done to justify it, lol. No time to even pull the blower for porting.... Yes, it will make a big difference.

Have a Katech 103 & Jokerz ported blower. Night & day regarding throttle response. Figured I gained around 30 rwhp.

If you don’t mind me asking, what intake are you running? Did you use a step down coupler from the TB to the intake?

Halltech CF. There’s enough stretch in the coupling to get it over the 103 TB

I'd love to see more back to back dynos showing just the blower porting and what benefits it shows on a dyno.

on cam full bolt on z we picked up 26 rwhp peak w/ our ported blower setup and a katech 103 TB. got another one we are doing heads on as well and milling them down to bump up the compression more to see how far we can take that tiny little guy.

You'll need our CNC ported supercharger and CNC ported snout we're working on. Stay tuned to our social media for a release date.

When I was getting my work done at Fasterproms, I asked Jeremy about the larger TB vs ported stock with my ported blower and full bolton setup (meth, E85, etc...). His response on the gains they've seen from just the larger TB added after the other mods was way too small to justify the $$.
Now if doing heads and cam too, that's another story. I'm personally waiting on the larger TB when I do heads and cam.

BTW, car made 701/750 to the wheels when Jeremy was done.

M7... If the what is done to my car was for me, it has the following:
Halltech intake
2.31 upper fasterproms
ported T/B and blower by fasterproms
thermal plates fsterproms
expansion tank fasterproms
dual nozzle meth injection (Alky Control)
flex fuel sensor running full E85 (currently about E75 in FL)
160 t-stat
brisk 12 plugs
TSP 1 7/8 longtubes, catless X, corsa sport exhaust
And of course Jeremy's awesome tune

I think that sums it up... I think that's everything you can do bolt-on wise, hence "full bolt-on"... only thing left is heads and cam

The 2300 heartbeat has larger size snouts that bolt on you can order to add larger
throttle body's. I'm seeing about adding the Nick Williams 102 throttle body to my build I'm getting ready to start on my A8

I agree!
With your upgraded 2300 SC, the stock ported TB did not make any sense to me.
I would get the largest TB that you can fit on the front of the 2300 heartbeat SC. I would like to see a 120mm.
I think you will be surprised by the HP/TQ gains with the larger TB!

Makes a lot of sense. If the A8 does well with the 102. I'll sell my MAMO and gets another for the M7. Hope it doesn't need retuned.
That said the M7 is a beast even with PTB. The A8 with just the Halltech
is very LAME compared. But that will change.

I'm sure it will a update. 102mm is still small for the HP levels you are making. I would inquire about what is the max size that would fit.
