Default First LOOK and Video's/Pics of the 2019 ZR1 in LA Tonight-Mike Furman at Criswell

~The plan all along was to fly in to LA next Tuesday the 5th and attend the LA Auto Show and meet up with dozens of my Corvette customers, some of them I have never met. Jeremy W. and John E. took it one step further and decided to attend this evening's Grand Premiere of the 2019 ZR1! So over the next few hours we will be adding Youtube video's and Pictures Live on this thread. Very first Look of the C7 ZR1 on display in the US of A.
Yes I will still be in LA next Tuesday the 5th! ~* 2019 ZR1 cpe base price is $119,995 and the Convt will be $123,995. 212 MPH is Top Speed. Spring Mountain Driving School is included with purchase.

Don't believe so. That is Watkins Glen Gray. New colors to debut in the Spring most likely.

Mike I know you'll sell all of these you can get so I hope you don't mind my honesty...

Does anyone else think this thing looks like a giant design disaster?

And no I'm not a bitching C7Z owner as I no longer have the C7Z.

Best,
Gene

Mike, is Spring Mountain covered completely? Or is it still $ 1,000.00?

Wasn't supposed to be announced until January...but yes, you buy a new ZR1 and the ZR1 specific two day class is included in the purchase price and free to attend.

Yes, someone else here (me) thinks they made some poor design choices. I know Tadge will say everything is done for functional reasons, but at some point you need to step back and look at what you've done.

I love the shaker hood, but not a fan of the rest of the changes. The wing is the obvious thing to dislike, but I think my biggest problem is with the front corners -- the intersection of the giant splitter, outer winglets, inner winglets, and the corner scoop. It looks like a big mish-mash of materials, angles, and ideas.

I certainly understand the need for downforce and cooling, but to me it appears they tried to accomplish too much in too short a time.

I'm really trying to keep my comments constructive and low-key because I did not like when "round lights people" hammered relentlessly on the C7 in 2013, and then the "cooling sucks" people did the same thing when the Z06 came out.

I hope the ZR1 breaks all records and functionally does what they intended, but at the same time I wish they did it in a way that was a bit more appealing aesthetically.
