I notice a tremendous difference in ride quality between Track and Tour in my Z07. I usually keep my Z07 on Tour mode on the street for this reason. My Stingray, set on Track mode, is actually much softer than is my Z07 on Tour mode.
Also note that you can set your settings up to vary the steering stiffness and the exhaust mode to be independent of the (Track, Sport, Tour, Eco) mode. My steering is set permanently to "Sport" and my exhaust is usually in "Track" but I also like Stealth for neighborhoods around town.
I've never driver in Eco mode so I can't tell you much about it.
The Cup2 tires need at least 80 degree weather to hook on the street, unless you're on the track.. At the track, they'll require a couple of warmup laps in cool weather. Be careful on the street with the Cup2s, they will bite you when they're cold. I replaced mine with Michelin PSS a while back for the street.

congrats! regarding the mode selection I only really notice a change in suspension and exhaust valves. http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette-life/mode-selector
I have a 7-speed though not sure if it affects the shift points.
I wish I could gain more traction as well, I definitely am not going to need more power

Settings => Driving Mode => Steering or Engine Sound Management
From here, you can either link the steering and exhaust to the driving mode (Auto mode), or you can set it independently of the driving mode.

Additionally, you can set you dash display theme to be either linked to the driving mode, or independent. Using the arrows on the right side of the steering wheel, go in to Settings on the dash display, then make the appropriate selection under Display Theme.

Z06 Street Ride
So I pulled the trigger last week 2016 Z06/07 3LZ Auto. 106k sticker. I have to say I truly am enjoying this car. I was unsure coming from a 911 Turbo. It's loaded but I really wanted Comp seats. Can't see dropping 1900 plus install fee. Guess I'll make sure the next one has them. Love everything else. Some questions.
1) Am i supposed to feel a huge difference going from track, sport, tour, eco and weather? The 911 has sport plus which changes the engine and transmission dynamics. Realistically if you put it in sport plus you couldn't really drive it on the street because it wouldn't really shift out of first gear until you hit like 40 or 50 miles an hour.
2) The only thing I wish, was if I hit the gas that there would be minimal tire spin.
3) this week I installed my K40 laser jammer and I also installed the protek. The guy from Chevy who installed the protek was telling my service advisor he never seen this before and thought it was the best idea ever and that Chevy should include it. Lol. I also had all the reflectors wrapped in black as well as the roof. Also had tint installed.

Let me pick your brain a little. Seven weeks hence after blowing the motor on my A8 and I am still waiting for my car. I think I may be offered a buyback or have confidence that I can get a buyback through the BBB.
The question is what is next? Obviously I would get an M7 and there seem to be a lot of 17's in showrooms with great deals. I didn't opt for the Z07 package on my last car because I was concerned about a rough street ride. What is your opinion about the ride quality on the street?
