Default Personal Best: In the 10s in my M7 Z06 on street tires, minor bolt-ons, no tune

Seems like every drag racing/quarter mile thread I see posted is from people with A8 Z06s which are significantly easier to get into the 10s. Don't see much posted on M7 Z06 times.

I think I did pretty well? It was a nice cool day here in Florida. Car has full Z07 aero with the Wicker set to the highest position and stock sized Continental ExtremeContact tires that run about 1.5 inches narrower than a 335 Pilot Sport. Mods are: Halltech Intake, Tony Mamo TB, Corsa X-Pipe, Magnaflow Axleback. The car has no tune.

I am happy with my 1.75 60 foot on street tires. I do feel I could have done a little better as I think I short shifted 4th a bit since I went from 103 in the 8th to 129 in the 4th on that pass and I had other passes where I went from 100 to 129.

My buddy with the Viper ACR-E ran a best of 11.1 at 131 with a 1.8 60 foot and he was on drag radials. He never got a truly clean pass in but either way I am happy to have beat him. He has intake, headers, no cats, exhaust, underdrive pulley and an arrow computer/tune. He dynoed 598rwhp. We also did a 60 to 130 pull and I put 1 car on him.

Today was a good day. My previous best was an 11.1 at 123.5 with a 1.7 60 foot. Since that pass I added a Tony Mamo TB but today was also a good 35 degrees cooler.

Either way I am happy

Nice work My car has about the same mods but I also have headers and a tune. My 60ft is not as good as yours which is hurting things
I'm in the tens as well ! It can be done ! Way to go!

I am no lift shifting. I put the car in touring mode, traction control off. Revving it to about 1800 rpm and quick slipping the clutch.

Very nice - you are leaving active handling on right ? Just tapping traction once and not holding to turn off all nannies ? Any wiggle or getting loose ?

Yup just tapping it once, on my passes where it did not hook, it lit up the tires but continued going straight

Nice wheels. Does Race Tech list the weight of the wheels? And/or did you get a chance to compare the weight difference between the stockers and the Race Tech forged wheels?

Well done. Running a manual trans car down the 1/4 can be tedious; but oh so rewarding when you run a good number. Congrats!

Thank you. I do still have the stock wheels so when I get a chance I can weigh the difference but from handling, they felt pretty similar weight wise. They are forged wheels.
