Default Stuck on main cat delete ugh

Ok So i have all but one bolt on the drivers and 3 on the passenger side And I have no clue how you guys have room to turn a wrench.Am i suppose to lift the motor before I undo the manifold for more room,I was under the impression that was only when reinstalling and can be avoided with bolts.

Ok so i got the drivers side off,the last bolt can only be reached with a 15mm open end wrench with a deep socket or extention as a mini cheater bar.Now the passenger side there is just zero room.I marred up one of the studs badly so hopefully theres a way to remove them easily.

@8850 did this originally and was able to tell me which bolts to buy. I haven't done mine yet as I'm waiting for spring. Maybe 8850 can chime in and give us little tutorial?

You have to get creative and use a combination of deep socket, universals, and open/box end wrenches. Several nuts can be accessed thru the fender wells...turn the front wheels to get them out of your way.

Did you have to raise the motor to get to certain bolts?how hard is it to remove the studs?

I didn't understand you were removing the studs....I only removed the nuts. Had car up on quick jacks. Only have to lift engine an inch or so to get pipes out.

Yes and the install is hellashish, whoever said 2-3 hours is a straight wizard lol maybe after iv done it a hundred times. No matter what you have to lift the motor and you have to be prepared with some “offset” wrenches or you will chew up the nuts.

Did you get it done? If so, how does it sound? I'm planning on just doing the main cat delete and leaving the secondary cats to see how it sounds. I have the corsa x-pipe waiting in case it needs a little more.

No im stuck on one bolt,im trying to get it ready in time for the big daddys 02 simulators.I will post video when done but I have the Xpipe.

Still stuck on passenger side bolt, used Everything and the kitchen sink besides cutting that bastard off.universals,extension,offset/boxed end wrench and nothing has worked and now it is rounded off.Is cutting my only option?

Ok got the pipes out and all the 7mm studs but one that I marred up,do your fingers a favor and dont leave the studs so that you have plenty of room to work with its 100000x eaiser and will be the next time you remove them. Now how to attack this last messed up stud and will a longer bolt work??Same m10 1.5 x “30” tho instead of 25.

Dude, is this that hard of a job???? You're making me think twice about it. I've got an 800 ft/lb air impact so hopefully that will help.

Putting in is a freaking breaze without having to use the deep sockets, taking out the passenger side the wrench just doesnt quite have enough room.First time always takes awhile im still learning but almost done.
