Can't wait for the car show season to start! Oh and I'm sure people will want to know the cost. So I bought these from Cultrag Performance for $2400 shipped in a Labor day sale, which is 35% off regular GM price, which includes center caps. Yea I know not cheap, but they had the lowest price that I had seen at the time.

Some of the photos of these wheels seem to show a sheen or semi- gloss type finish; others appear to be satin or flat finish. How would those who own them characterize the finish?

My Pearl Nickel factory wheels would best be described as “semi-gloss” not flat or matte finish.

I've always liked the look of these optional wheels in painted pearl nickel silver. Too bad that they are not location specific. These wheels are reversed from driver side to passenger side. A completely different look from side to side. The new Ferrari 812 has wheels somewhat like these but they are location specific. Of course that car has a much higher budget. Four distinctly different wheels on the Ferrari vs two distinctly different wheels for these Corvette wheels. My "Ask Tadge" question got picked this last week and I asked him about this very issue. It will be interesting what he says about it. Most likely it's just a budget issue though.

Yep, that's my only gripe with these wheels as I really like them from a style perspective, I just wish the blades rotated in the same direction and that they were directional per side. The wheels of the ZR1 also have a slanted pattern so I wonder if GM will make those directional or whether they will take on a different look as well depending on which side you look at.

Yes, both ZR1 and these ZO6 wheels are asymmetrical therefore look different from driver side to passenger side. To look correct they would have to make left and right moulds or patterns for both front wheels and rear wheels. That makes four distinctly different wheels.

Those wheels look great on your color car along with 16/C7Z's car but I still like black wheels best on red, yellow and white C7's.I guess it all comes down to what your exterior color is.

I'm sure the GM bean counters wanted to keep the production costs as low as possible.

Yup, especially when most people don't recognize whats going on with the look of the wheels when viewed from both sides of the car.

Just curious, what location of manufacture is cast on the back side of those wheels? I couldn’t have been more disappointed when I found out my “American Sports Car” (15’ Z06) has wheels made in China on it. With all the Forum reports of cracking and bent wheels on our Vette’s, it makes me question the quality of the wheels. Maybe another example of the ‘bean counters” winning out.

Are these wheels just as prone to bends/cracks just like the noodle strength of the C7 GS/Z06 factory wheels?
