2017 Z06. Is there a MRC calibration upgrade for my car yet?
I am hearing of these new numbers being posted at VIR, etc in the C7 and it seems they are attributing the improved numbers in large part to the new MRC calibrations. My question is, is my 2017 Z06 loaded with the most recent calibration from factory or is there and update out there I should look to purchase prior to track season?

I got this done last week for my 16 Z06 and I have to say I can't tell the difference. At all. The way people are talking about what a "massive" difference it is, I was expecting to at least notice it, but whether I'm in touring, sport, or track, I see no difference. I can take on ramps at the same ~1.0g in track with the same amount of roll; i feel the dips, bumps, and potholes the same amount in touring and sport, same amount of nose dive under hard braking in sport/track (granted it was minimal before, but it's not any different now)... It's like I went to the dealership and said "can you guys borrow my car for the day and I'll pay you $500 for it? Oh and make sure it collects a TON of pollen in the process. Thanks!" Unless you're Randy Pobst, I would STRONGLY recommend you NOT get this update as it's a complete waste of money.

An email to Mary Barra did get the ball rolling to resolve the issue, but the dealership dragged their feet and I won't bore you with the details, but in the process of getting this mess fixed, I found an excellent condition low mileage one owner 2016 Z06 that I traded the Stingray for.
So after driving the Z06 for about 600 miles, my impression of the stock non updated ride is, it reminds me of my 2008 Z06. Great handling although some tram lining due to the wide tires, but unless one is on a smooth or slightly rough road, it rides like a buck board when encountering the usual pot holes, broken or patch pavement etc. As forum member Poor Sha reported back when, his 2015 Z06 ( non Z07) rode harder than his 2014 Stingray Z51, which rode harder than his 2012 CTS-V. Oddly enough I've now owned all 3 of those vehicles in succession and totally agree.
So that brings us to whether I needed to make another attempt at the GM 350 update ( with a different dealer who knows what he's doing) or go with the DSC controller. After reading many reports here on both options and reading between the lines, I've seen more than a few reports like yours and the tech at the new dealership who has done some on the Z06 advised that it wouldn't improve the ride that much on the Z06 that he had done and test driven AND the countless glowing reports on the DSC controller along with great support and backing their product, I elected to go with the DSC as it looked like it would be able to give a great compliant ride for street use. Since I'm only a street guy, not a track guy, this should have my name on it.
BOY does it ever !!!! As others have said, a game changer, night and day difference etc. I have the plush tour setting and sport setting dialed in perfectly right from DSC and after a 20 min install that is completely good to go, it totally transforms the Z06 into a comfortable compliant daily driver in touring with sport being at just the right setting for more firmness to enjoy the twisties.
Also one does not need to replace the runflats with non run flats to achieve a softer ride. Another great feature of the DSC is, it eliminates at least 80 and probably closer to 90 percent or more of the tram lining due to the sky hook feature of the DSC active suspension.
To sum up, the DSC is well worth every penny and then some, for STREET USE. Yes, Mike who designed this controller did it mainly for track use, but a fabulous street product is also contained in it's features.

@musclecar6 - glad I'm not the only one. The DSC sounds good and all, but it's a little too steep for my blood. The dealership that did the MRC update for me was pretty good from a customer service standpoint, so I may just call and let them know it did absolutely nothing for me and see what they say. Best case scenario I get a refund. Worst case they tell me to bugger off and I only waste a 5 min phone call. I'm thinking it'll be somewhere in the middle like a credit or free oil change. A credit could go towards the larger 2017+ supercharger cover that supposedly helps a lot with cooling (though it may just be rose colored glasses like the MRC update)
