i know exactly what your talking about. I had that smell in my c6z06 the first week or 2 when I bought it brand new.

Then it went away and never smelled it again in the 8years I had it.

I would check to see if there is a very small almost undetectable oil leak and it’s dripping on some hot part of the exahust or motor.

I had had that smell on my daily driver after an oil change. I spilled some oil on the motor even after carefully wiping it down.
Then it went away after driving it for a bit

Does the cabin filter still get used even though the ventilation is in re-circulation mode? I had a couple Poms(Small furry dogs) in the car and I can still smell them when I turn on the vents. I figure I would change the filter with a Fram Fresh Breeze Filter after a thorough cleaning.
