Weather and traffic both work but they are tied to the XM radio. I’m sure if I had on star that it would provide the service as well. But, to answer your question, traffic and weather worked perfectly fine. And yes, I have tested the PDR several times everything is functioning perfectly. The only thing that isn’t functioning is the OnStar and that’s because I don’t want it.

By the way, I seldom use the traffic function because the Waze doesn’t much better job on traffic and so does Google maps. The nice thing is running the Unidine R3 radar detector with Waze is awesome. What the radar detector doesn’t pick up Waze will notify you about. I’m sure it varies from region to region but it works great for me. I have a 90 minute commute each way and it’s constantly keeping me out of trouble or warning me about trouble up ahead so I have time to come up with an alternate route.

Awesome. Sounds fully functional. Agreed on Waze/Gmaps being better at everything. Was just curious if any buttons were dead. I do not opt-in for onstar/xm, but some times they randomly activate it for a month to rope people in.
Waze+radar is the way to go. Especially nicer with it on the main screen. Throw in spotify and podcast with AA/Carplay, that's a win.

Everything looks great! The screen response is also improved from my sluggish 2014, 2LT. What is the warranty coverage for the replacement modules?

They're programing the OEM module (software change) so it's just a 30 day money back guarantee.

Has anyone had trouble getting in touch with the folks at MVI ? I have been trying to contact them all week with no luck. I just need to know which kit to order for my 2014 Z51 Vert Non-Navi with the M7. I want to add the Navi and the Apple CarPlay.

Are you dialing 919-995-9523? If you are and their's no answer, I would suggest texting him at that number, telling him what you're looking for and he normally gets right back. give that a shot. I just had an exchange with him a couple days ago because he's coming out with wireless phone charging for the C7 now too.

Same here - you have to text Anthony, he responds right away - even on a Sunday. Mine is on the way to replace the infotainment.com modules.

What's the cost through MVI for 2014-2015 owners? This seems like the golden choice for those wanting not to lose an functionality while adding it. I use and appreciate HD radio daily, so not losing that is key to me.

My cost for Navigation as well as CarPlay for my 2014 Z51 was $1,180. If you already have navigation than the cost is about $250 less. They are super busy and Anthony said it is taking 3 - 5 days to ship out once ordered. You will need to give them the last 8 of your VIN as they will program it to your car.

Hope to get mine next week.

Yep, I too am a 2015 3LT Z51 owner asnd I'm enjoying the heck out of my new Apple Carplay without losing a single feature that I had previously. It was a journey but after working with another guy to get mine sorted, there's another provider out there with the right kit. Plug and play, no lost features.

Start reading from post # 247 above...

With all the nightmares members have written about, I'd be very reluctant to have it upgraded. You pay a lot of money for the PDR to loose it. Just my opinion.

So your PDR works 100% just like when you first bought the car??

If so please share the link to THAT kit. Thanks

Like I said, it's simply a fact that it's not a problem anymore. I was "one of those members with the nighmares" as you put it... (as detailed in post #247 if you scroll up).
Then I found the guy that actually programs the OEM units and he sent me one properly programmed. Problem solved with absolutely no loss of anything including the PDR. Anthony figured out where they were screwing up and fixed the software. And if you continue to read past post #247 above....you will see those members with the nightmares are now having Anthony fix theirs too. Not wanting to spend the money to do it is certainly a good reason, but fear of losing the PDR is no longer an issue if it's ordered from the right vendor.

Again, see my original response and last paragraph of post #247 above, call/text Anthony Brush at MVI at 919-995-9523, he's the owner. If you read some of the preceeding posts, he's already done so for a few more members on here since fixing mine. I don't have a link to his kit but the web page is below and he is very responsive if you text him.
