Then you have to tamp the pin through — I did this with a small ball peen hammer then I used a small drill bit I broke in half placed on the back side of the pin to tamp it all the way through until it stops. Those clips need to be in there. The powerstops I bought had new clips in the box. I did use the new clips and saved my old pads with the old clips in the power stop box.

Check out youtube. Do search on c7z06 pad replacement. You’ll see what I am talking about

As as far as clips. You may also be referring to the wear sensor. They look like a little hook. Those were on the inside pad of each pad facing downward as I recall. Just in case that’s what you are referring to. If you want take a picture of the clip and post it. And that can help me guide you.
Yeah it is those "wear sensors " , i have them going upwards , does it make a difference ? I did check a You tube how too vid and that person also had his pads with the wear sensors to the top .

no it won’t make a difference. By placing them downward, when the car is up on a lift you can check the distance of the sensor to the rotor. With them up on top you can’t really see them. You would only be able to hear them when the pad wears down and the sensor touches the rotor.

Once again thank you Sir . I likely will never wear our the pads as i don't put that many miles on it living where i do , 6 months of winter = maybe 8 to 10,000 km's a year if I'm extremely lucky

your welcome. You’ll appreciate the new pads and how much cleaner the car will stay.
Those pads will last a long time a lot longer then the factory pads.

Where is your location? I am in the Midwest St. Louis Missouri.

Maybe I missed it somewhere in this thread, but do these recommendations include for a C7/Z06/Z07 with the Carbon Ceramic brake rotors? Looking for a pad recommendation for the CCB rotors. I have 10k miles on the car and got the "brakes worn" message in the car, which I wasn't expecting so soon, as I haven't even gotten to track the car yet.

Your pads are pretty special so you will be better off with OEM pads. They will work pretty good on track.

Default Problems with powerstops

I swapped mine out. Great low dust. 2016 z-06. I don’t track but drive hard. I burnished the pads like powerstop tells you. I have them on my truck and another car and no issues.
I just did 150 the other day and braked pretty hard and now I have some strange marks on my front disc. Drivers side.
And the car shuddered as I put the brakes on. Not smooth at all.
My rear pads have both seemed to chip on the corner and making a groove in my rotors.

So I don’t know what’s up but I’m thinking it’s the pad

Default Too much grease.

If
Took everything apart. All four wheels. I think I put way to much grease on the back of the pads. Bremnen doesn’t recommend grease there. Only on the very ends where the pads ride on the caliper.
A lot of small gravel stuck to the back of pads.

That's not grease... You over heated the pads.

Problem is with an incorrect install! Not the pads!

Default So far as I can tell it was all the grease I put on back.

The rotors appear to working good I’m getting good contactpad to rotor. Not brown looking now.
Like I said brembo recommends no grease on the back of pads.

Well just to report back after the install and first ride this year . Took the car out this past Thursday as the weather , finally went to 14 degrees here . Drove to a coffee shop ( Tim Hortons ) applying the brakes numerous times both there and back . Never heard any squeals , nice smooth stops , best of all No brake dust Think ill get a set for the Shelby next
