Is it worth putting on an aftermarket exhaust on a Z06?

I love the way my Corsa Xtreme sounds.

My 2009 C6 Coupe had NPP... not a fan, so it is coming off my 2019 Z06 once it arrives.
I prefer this sound, but I'm not sure if it's offered for the Corvette? if not, then I get a Corsa with long tube headers.
Oh yeah, this SS is as follows: "2016 Chevy SS Cammed, Kooks Headers, Midpipe and SOLO Axle back Exhaust"
Here's one driving:

I left mine stock for the same reason. My wife would always complain that she could hear me coming three blocks away with my ZR1s (Corsas, then cutouts). I find Track Mode to be loud enough that if I forget and leave it in Track Mode, in deference to the neighbors I have to start it with the garage door closed. It really barks awake, especially having sat overnight. And on a long highway run it goes into Tour for a quiet drive. So if you are happy with it as is, fine. If you like a louder car, then go for a new system. I do like the idea of just doing an X pipe to give it just a little more sound. If you decide you want more after doing it you can always go to an axle back aftermarket system.--Bob

I went with B&B Fusion. I still have NPP capability and these have a deeper sound than stock. A bonus was the design of the speedway tips. They go along with the angular lines of the car.

That's the Billy Boat Fusion exhaust. Here's another recent clip that's much closer, but not WOT since it's residential

Only did mine to be different than most Z's on the road today. Too many around that look the same in my opinion. I also needed the Borla exhaust to mate to their diffuser. Definitely NOT worth $2k for sound alone. Borla X-pipe removing the cats is best bang for buck. Or get some long tubes and be done with it.

I put a Corsa Xtreme axle back on mine and have the X Pipe sitting in the garage waiting for me to get at it. The Corsa sounds WAY WAY WAY better than stock. Stock is just kind of unimpressive at every level except for startup and WOT. The Corsa sounds deeper, smoother, and sounds SO amazing on start ups, revs, WOT and cruising around. I also have Corsa Xtreme on my ZL1 (Also LT4) with an X Pipe that ditches secondary cats and same thing, sounds way better than the muted NPP exhaust, and by better I don't just mean loud, it sound legitimately AWESOME. And the best part is with Corsa that once you back out of it and stay below 3000 it's just as quiet as stock and there's ZERO drone, less than factory. My neighbors are in awe of my cars, lol, so I don't worry about the startups. But when I go to Cars and Coffee in the mornings I start them remotely with the Garage still shut and open the garage after 10-15 seconds when it quiets down some, can't hardly hear anything outside the garage.
Only way I would stay stock axle back is if I was putting on Headers/X pipe. Then the factory dual mode might be helpful. But still the stock NPP is kind of "Blatty", just don't like it that much.

Is an hour labor reasonable to install an Xpipe? I don't have a lift and just don't roll around on the ground anymore😄

I went with akrapovic, very happy with it... its not TOO much louder... but the note has changed b/c its titanium. It also throws some gurgles in there too! I am VERY happy with the exhaust! And i still have full use of the 4 modes from the dash... PERFECT!

Hell it can probably be done in 30 minutes. I think it's probably around 20-30 bolts to take the tunnel plate off, then it's 4 clamps, 2 front and 2 rear, loosen those and it pops right out. Clamp the new one in, torque, and bolt the plate on.

Cleans up the sound a lot then there is the 35 pounds less weight and the 35 RWHP.
