Default 2019 Z06 Order

I'm putting together an order for a 2019 Z06 and would appreciate input on the options. My last Corvette was a 2008 Coupe, so this one will be a significant update, although I still enjoy driving the 2008.

G8G Arctic White exterior
703 Adrenaline Red interior
AE4 Competition Sport Bucket Seats
B92 Visible Carbon Fiber Weave Insert
C2M Carbon Fiber Dual Roof Package
ERI Battery Protection Package
M5U 8-speed paddle shift automatic transmission
Q6A Pearl Nickel-painted aluminum Z06 wheels
UQT Performance Data and Video Recorder

Is there anything mismatched or worthwhile to add? It's a low probability I will track the car so I didn't include the Z07 package. The Callaway package is a consideration. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Learn from my recent mistakes. Nov. 13th, we ordered a 2018 Z06/Z07 3LZ WGG, with Visible Carbon Fiber splitters, side skirts, hood insert and removable top. It was the last 2018 Z06 to leave NCM floor. GM Factory VCF has a brownish tint to it. So if, like me, you want to customize with additional VCF parts, make certain VCF parts you purchase not only are GM, 3k-twill pattern but also match factory resin tint.
I was not aware, ordered quite a few after market VCF parts, only to have my installer send pics of resulting train wreck. Literally, thousands of dollars in carbon fiber that look hideous next to factory splitters, side skirts, hood insert and removable top. TKO Performance, a Forum Vendor, offers some aftermarket parts with matching color. I found out too late.

How about the carbon fiber dash? I have it on my Z and love the way it looks.

I also have CF Dash in matte finish. Looks great!

Thanks for the input. Vette E Boop that is valuable information regarding the variations in carbon fiber aftermarket products. BluDevilZ06, the Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Package (FAY) seems reasonable for a MSRP of $995.

I added the cf mirrors on mine. They go well with the B92 hood.

Nice build. Very close to the one I have built and shopping right now. Note that the battery protection package is nothing more than the Ctek charger with a C7 logo on it. You can find them for basically half the price of the $120 option and even if you absolutely had to have the C7 logo on it, various GM part suppliers have it for around $75.

Didn't see the 3lz mentioned. It's worth it for the added conveniences and will also have the PDR. If you do Callaway, don't bother with the extra cost floor mats etc, Callaway gives you a set of branded floor mats etc.

FYI,

Today, I learned Nowicki manufactures their own carbon fiber pieces in Detroit. They are not imported from China or Mexico. They sell their parts through suppliers under brands, ‘Nowicki’ and ‘ConceptZ’. Other than TKO Performance, I mentioned above, Black Ops Auto Works also sells their parts. There may be others, too.

Nowicki is willing and able to add original GM factory tint to their products but through whichever vendor you use. They have to communicate your wishes to Nowicki when placing their order. There is an additional charge for this service, as indicated on TKO Performance website.

2LZ with Nav/PDR is one of the favorite selections. 3LZ is a nice option but pricey, I have it on my 2015 along with the carbon fiber dash and there is something about it that sets the car off. The inclusion of the NAV/PDR as a standard part of the package helps offset the cost to some degree.

I have that option in my Z and it is matte finish...not sure if you prefer gloss or matte look.

I would try out the competition seats before you order. Some folks don't find them as comfortable as the standard seats. Since you're probably not tracking the car, the standard seats might do just fine for you.

Very good advice. I had them in my 2015 and didn't get them when I ordered my 2016.Z06 They weren't very comfortable on long trips.

Does anyone know the actual measurements where your back goes between the Comp and GT seats?

I am ordering a Z06 also but I work out and have a wider than normal back but I love the looks of the Comp seats.

Thanks for all the input. I have sat in both the GT and Comp seats and they both feel reasonably comfortable.

Does anyone have thoughts on the Visible Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package (CFV)? It seems like it may be a good choice to match a carbon fiber hood and roof, although the MSRP of $3,995 is fairly high. Is it worth the price?

I have the Visible Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Package and will not expect any return when I sell the Z, however I really like the look. It enhances the overall look of the car. With a M7, will I ever sell this keeper?
