Adam (pictured below) is the Michelin engineer who chose to delay the launch of this tire for the Corvette Z06 & GS till September ‘18. He stated that the most recent delay was due to the Michelin engineers not being satisfied with the noise that the new tires were generating. Adam’s team is tweaking/testing a slightly modified design to ensure that it meets their noise targets while still hitting performance requirements.
On one hand, I’m past-ready for these new all season tires to come. On the other hand, I appreciate Adam and his team for sweating the details to ensure that Michelin delivers another quality product. I’m #24 on Luke’s ZO6/GS Michelin A/S 3+ list at Tire Rack. Give him at call at 888-727-8092 (ext.4362) or email luke@tirerack.com.

For those of us that have orders, they'll be shipped out that day?

Well I guess by that time I'll just leave my PSS's on for summer and keep the AS3's ready for next fall!
I'm also curious about performance but I assume they will be a softer ride, slightly less at turning but obviously better in rain, cold etc. My main reason for getting them is so I can keep driving my z06 during cool months Dec-March when it's only 30's but still sunny with clean roads. Still wont plan on driving it in any time of precipitation. Being able to drive it pretty much year round it the big selling point of these new AS3's IMHO
if performance isnt much different in summer weather than the PSS's I'd prefer just to leave the AS3's on year round

Moving that way soon and hope to drive year round, roads permitting. Not planning on high G turns in Dec/Jan just want decent grip for the cold.

I was getting new tires on my Cadillac!
I asked the dealer if he would check on getting me the New michelins!
Told him I read on here release date is 4-6-18.
They called their supplier, the supplier called the "factory"!
The supplier called back while I was there and said " the tires were not going to go into production unit this summer"!?

I assume (We all know what that means!) that Tire Rack would be given good information since they are a very major retailer of tires. If these perform as well as the A/S 3+ do on my other vehicles I am looking forward to them. They don't have the cornering grip of the MPSS, but they are a superior all season tire. I don't track the Z so it really should fit the bill for me. I am hoping for a smoother, more quiet ride and decent cold weather traction. Now, to find someone that can install them without damaging the wheel!

Thanks KylFlyer
KylFlyer, I feel the same. I don't track or go crazy myself. I want quiet, smooth-ride, and safer in cold. I also like the idea that the A/S tires pickup every pebbles like the Pilot-Sport's do. Luke has my order for a set. I am hoping he will see these messages and send an update. I don't think I will wait until summer. TBD Give an update if you hear anything.

Luke has told me that April 6 is the date. If it changes by more than a week or two from that, I’ll change my order. Luke; you know the most here...any comments?

He's the OP...he gave the date that the manufacturer gave him IN THE ORIGINAL POST...if the rest of you suddenly decide to think its a lie why are you asking him to make a post updating what he's already said and saying something else to appease what you THINK you know????????????????? Pretty sure Luke isn't suddenly going to post something other than what he knows, AND WHAT THE MANUFACTURER OF THE PRODUCT TOLD HIM, just to make you paranoid folks happy. Carry on with the psychosis.

If Michelin has to modify this delivery date to TireRack then this is just business and has no bearing on Luke’s great customer service.

If you want to go slow, this sounds like a great tire to keep on your sports car that you just drive around to look cool in.
Otherwise its a good 1 season tire for everyone else!

Come run the Tail of the Dragon with me, I have them on my mini jcw and did the run in ten minutes at night with them. I can't make it in that time in my Z06 with OEM MPSSs in daylight. I had them on my C7 Stingray in excess of 150 with no issues as well. They are a good tire for street use with occasional light track duty. They won't stick like MPSSs, but they are a Z rated tire.

My order with Tire Rack has been updated with an "Availability" date of April 7. My fingers are crossed.
