My hall tech also didn't come with the strip to seal the airbox. One was supposed to be sent to me, but it never showed up.

My experience was similar. Fitment was fine of the actual unit itself, but I too had issues closing the hood due to the coolant lines being on top and in the way. Rigged my way around it though. And I agree the box itself does look pretty generic and not very nice looking.

Default My experience with halltech stinger on 2016 c7z A8

Fitment wasn’t great but I was able to extend and reroute the small hose. I used Home Depot weatherstripping to seal the box to the apron. I also modified the seal between the hose ans the filter box, and wrapped the lower radiator hose with DEI insulation.
The performance speaks for itself. My car runs 10.5-10.6 in 2K DA and has run a best of 10.38 in +100DA.
Drag radials, skinnies, halltech stinger, Halltech tric and octane booster.
I have the dyno which shows the power increase with halltech and octane, and also shows the AFR change, but the naysayers have already seen many dyno’s before, so what’s the point.

Also in the market for CAI... so for halltech that cost around $600, u still have to go to home depot and macgyver some lines so you can close the hood?! 🤔

Yes. I can't believe they didn't include the hose/instructions to do this with the product. I'm Thinking about selling mine and going with AFE because it looks better, and the guys in the 9's are mostly running AFE from what I've read.
