Default LOOK******Dozen+Delivery post 3/18/18 Barn finds-HEAVY on pic-Mike Furman at Criswell

~ZR1...mid engine...new colors...Much going on in the Corvette Mecca of Bowling Green, KY. I will be attending the Corvette Bash April 24th-27th and I'm looking forward to seeing all my Corvette friends and the great employee's of the Corvette Museum. This is always a very informative event that goes entirely way too fast.

~I arrived at Criswell yesterday at 6:45am as I knew I had several deliveries to fill with gas and put in delivery staging position as I call it.

~Speaking of Kentucky...

*David H. Of Lexington, Kentucky drove 550 miles Friday night for our 8am appt Saturday and picked up his son Tyler on the way. David and Tyler toured our inventory and placed a factory order for a loaded Black 2019 Z06 for Corvette Museum delivery. This will be David’s very first Corvette and he wanted to spec his Z06 out with my guidance so he and his son Tyler could order exactly what they envisioned. Two nicer guys would be hard to find. I very much enjoyed the visit.

~Chris H. Of Redmond, Washington called me up a few months ago as he wanted to order the most stunning Z06 possible...mission accomplished! Chris didn’t let the 2,800 miles between him and me get in his way as the Internet is a great highway to information and purchasing made seamless. Chris placed his order for an Admiral Blue 2018 Z06 Cpe with Code 198 Black Competition Seats, 3LZ Pkg, Visible Carbon fiber hood Pkg, Visible Carbon fiber ground effects Pkg, Visible CF roof with body color surround, body color exterior vents, yellow calipers, 7Spd manual trans, Black Wheels, Z07 Performance Pkg and Custom blue stitching! Talk about a show stopper. MSRP was $111,685. Chris wanted his new Z06/Z07 to be prepped by Criswell and he paid to ship it enclosed trailer cross country to his home in Redmond, Washington. Chris and his wife of 33 years Tina are shown in the pictures below this weekend taking advantage of some rare good weather this time of the year.

~George P. Of Hanover, MD took his brothers advice and set up an appt. with me this week to trade in his 2018 MB GLC 300 for a brand new 2019 Corvette Stingray Cpe in Sebring Orange. Equipment list includes 1LT Pkg, CF Badge Pkg, Auto trans, performance exhaust and black painted wheels. The trip home will be faster than the drive to Criswell.

~Tom P. Of Ellicott City, MD picked up the last of his 4 Corvettes from this past weeks deals that he was directly responsible for as his family members love Corvettes. Tom traded in his 8,500 mile ‘18
GS for a brand new Arctic White 2019 Grand Sport Cpe with Black Wheels, CF badges, Auto trans, Red calipers, CF mirrors and 1LT Pkg. Tom figured out between referrals and his own purchases that this delivery was the 15th he was involved within a three year time period.
I certainly appreciate the business and he feels comfortable dealing with me.

~James E. Of Apple Valley, California placed his factory order with me for a 2019 Stingray Corvette Cpe and he wanted Criswell to do the inspection. Yesterday Plycon picked it up and will truck it 2,600 miles to Jim’s driveway. Option list includes: 3LT Pkg, 7spd manual, cf badges, CF instrument panel, Magnetic select ride, Red calipers, performance exhaust, body color wing spoiler, cargo mat, under hood liner, splash guards and much more!! Jim is super excited to receive his Corvette masterpiece.

~CD of the Eastern Shore, Maryland picked out his very first Corvette. This Black 2017 Stingray Cpe equipped with 7spd manual, Black Wheels, Black badges, 1LT Pkg and performance exhaust. CD was referred in to me by a long time customer. Perma grin is still on his face and will last a long time.

~Mario M. of Delray Beach, Florida called me 8 weeks ago to factory order a new Black 2019 Z06 Corvette. Equipment list for his new black 2019 Z06: 3LZ, 7spd manual, 10 spoke blade pearl wheels and micro fiber insert seats. I had it drop shipped to a Chevrolet dealer near him so that he could take Courtesy delivery of his new Corvette.

Here is Mario in his own words
"Everything was perfect, couldn’t be happier.
We’re gonna take some photos this weekend and send them over.
Thank you for everything, this has been the best car buying experience we’ve had so far, and not just because we were buying a Z06.
Be sure that we’ll be referring you to friends and family. " Mario
The picture below is of Mario and his Father.

~Clark G. Of Newport News, Virginia ordered his ‘15 Corvette from me and a few weeks ago he placed his order for a new '19 Grand Sport. I gave him a sight unseen trade value and the deal was done over the phone....until he viewed a 2019 Z06 equipped just the way he would have ordered on my Corvette dedicated website inventory page...so he called me and asked if he could take delivery of the Z06 now as opposed to waiting for the ordered GS. I told him come on up Saturday and he arrived at 9am and was all done with paperwork/payment and switching cars in under 75 minutes! 650HP and away he drove! Equipment list is: 2LZ Pkg, chrome badges, chrome wheels, CF instrument panel, Auto trans and Navigation/PDR.

~Tom T. Of North Wales, PA called me 8 weeks ago to factory order his very first Corvette. Tom spec’d out a Watkins Glen Gray 2019 Grand Sport Cpe with Adrenaline Red interior and Auto trans. Option list includes 2LT Pkg, CF badge Pkg, Red calipers,Black Wheels and GS Heritage Pkg. Tom had some snow in his part of PA so he had to wait an extra week to come down for delivery. I am sure the 160 mile ride home was memorable as he has wanted a Corvette his whole life...Congrats Tom!

~Steve K. Of Dillsburg, PA travels almost 100 miles each way from his home in PA to work for Criswell as a MGR. So he asked me to pick out which Corvette would be best as his very first Corvette. This Arctic White 2018 Stingray Cpe with red interior is now Steve’s new ride. Equipped with 2LT Pkg, Red calipers, Navigation/PDR, cf badge Pkg, Auto trans, performance exhaust, black motor sports wheels and much more!

~Other deliveries that left the yard...

~The Frank Class Corvette Barn find/Throwback section. Please post up your favorites this week.

**I will be attending this show June 2nd with my 1967 Corvette cpe.

Drive safe and have a great week.

Mike, maybe I'm biased but a good friend introduced me to the whole Sebring racer story and sent me this bit of history. So my favorite throwback pic this week would be just that.

2nd place is the invoice for that early C3? Or late C2? Where the radio cost more than power steering power brakes and Windows lol.

thanks again buddy. Couldn't wait to read the thread lots of good one this week. Especially love the Sebring Orange Z06.. wild.

Hey Mike, great Sunday thread as usual. That shot of the Sebring bridge with the sunset in the background is awesome. Wish the Vettes had fared as well yesterday but obviously not in the cards this year. Oh, and those barn finds were particularly hard to look at this week. I always ask myself "why?" when looking at those pictures. Have a great week.

These are some wonderful stories and pictures! I think the green machines look fantastic. But since my surname is Harrison, I have to place this pic in the top rank...

Could not agree more here on the 1956 Sebring Racer story picture mentioned here.

John Fitch drove the #1 Corvette to a first place finish at Sebring in Class B.

The very limited framed print was done in 2001 by artist Cory Correll. An actual 2” X 2” fiberglass body piece of that very 1956 Sebring race winning Corvette is affixed to the bottom of that print.

I know all of this......because once I saw that picture post on this thread, I had to go to my office and look at the very same framed print spoken of here to write the above details, given to us by the very same friend!!!

So, thank you again, Mike Furman!

I think this week, the new Corvette buyers make my "favorite photos of the week"! To see all those smiling faces esp. the first-ever Corvette owners, is just a good thing.

Thanks, Mike. Great pictures and stories as always. The one thing I've learned as I grow older is to enjoy the simple things in life . . . like a beautiful sunrise.

It's not the first time. I have appts all the way out to mid May from some folks coming just as far or farther...but Yes most people do it over the phone in one 10 minute phone call and a couple of emails.
