Default New Z06/7 clunking - problem found

Car is now broken in and had a chance to get on her a bit this weekend for the first time on some fun roads. The car performed absolutely amazing, as expected. However, what would have been about halfway through my trip, I started getting a really bad clanking noise from the front. Not only was it loud, but I could feel it through the wheel and pedal. Started sweating bullets that something major ended up getting dorked up in the suspension and limped it home. Not one to ever rely on a dealership without at least jacking the car up and poke around a bit myself first, I dove in fearing the worse.
To my relief, it ended up only being a rubber bushing that holds what looks like a front stabilizer bar in place (still a new vette guy so learning the terms for the bits and bobs). Relatively quick fix and the dealership was avoided but it makes me wonder how the heck that could pop out on such a new car? Most likely it wasn't properly installed from the factory and the first real spirited drive pushed it out? Passenger side was fine at least. Anyway, it's a simple fix so should anyone else run into this, check here first (pics attached for reference from the drivers side). Installed the Protekt while I was under the car...that is a must-have product IMO!

My Engine cradle was lose.. Sounded like a shock was lose whenever it hit bumps. I finally found it after 2 dealerships played games of "Couldn't replicate" BS because they couldn't find the problem.. I originally thought it was end links gone bad.

You did right by digging in first...

Glad to hear that you were able to find and fix the problem. That had to be missed during assembly and quality control.

Good job. Good to see a mechanically minded Vette owner.

The ZL1 Camaros have had a rash of front sway bars not properly tightened...clunking in the front end...I have never seen pics on the Camaro issue...makes me wonder if this is something similar...
