if you search the forum, every thread that WAS about the zr1 front end on a z06... became an LG vs Gspeed vs..... thread...

And it kills the voice of those of us who would like a zr1 front end for our z06.

Let us know what we have to do to keep a thread going about zr1 on a z06, and not a clone of the other threads about LG and Gspeed.

Default front bumper

[QUOTE=Checkmate1;1597519899]Maybe the aftermarket needs to stop redesigning the front end of the Z06. I say - GM needs to be mass produce the ZR1 front clip.

At this point, hopefully the cheapest option would be to retrofit all the Z06 intercoolers and plumbing into the Z06.

I really like what LG is doing but that front end design of their bumper is not doing them any favors. Just wish they could do the following -

[/QUOTReally like that design !!!E]

Not sure who makes the front bumper on this Z06, but here's a side-by-side next to a ZR1 for comparison.

Someone IS! They're a big player in the Vette body parts market too...I spoke to them last week about this.

not saying you are wrong, im saying this answer you just gave is the same answer we received months ago... so a real timeline from this "major player" would be wise. They would get pre orders and thus be able to gauge real interest on their product.

I think it would sell, i just dont see the point in keeping it secret that you plan to produce something.

Lets say another company thinks they will be the ONLY one on the market, so they enter the market as well. Now your company who wants to keep everything secret has competition, which they would not have had... IF they would have made a simple announcement that such a product is coming to market, making it less attractive for other companies to enter the market, knowing, they will be competing against someone else for units sold and needing to lower their sale price.

Another problem you avoid, you have the people who are currently buying LG and Gspeed noses as they believe that is the only option, who would have held out had they known about the new zr1 nose for a z06 coming out.

All of this being said, it makes it hard to believe your claims, because any logical company, would announce this to the public, or at least to this forum.

Here is what’s in the work for me. Shaping the bumper to make the mould next week. Bottom carbon splitter will be made too. Next question is to have hidden or exposed stabilizer rods hidden or exposed. Maybe I should have both, mild splitter with one hidden rod like the ZR1, plus extreme for track guys with two exposed rods.

Ordering 5 ZR1 coolers to make proper ducting for the bumper also.

Urethane, or something hard and brittle?

deity, i called and talked to your guys last week. Glad to see this is coming along. Not trying to be a debbie downer, but you need to fix your website please... it is a virus trap as we currently speak. All of our browsers say so. You've been hacked or something.

Ok maybe i'll be the first to say it.

But the aftermarket version for the Z doesn't look right. From that angle, or perhaps from the pic itself, it looks like someone slapped a square patch on the front bumper.

I'm sure it's functional, and definitely better than a stock bumper but it doesn't look right at all.

People complained about the ZR1 looks and honestly, that front bumper was spot on for GM. The knocked it out of the park with that look. Very aggressive and functional. And it blends well with all the aero bits and the curves.
