ZR1 front end on Z06
What the best guesstimate for how long it will take for someone to fabricate a ZR1 front end for the Z06? I’m gonna say by the summer someone will have that. Any thoughts?

I hope not. The LG kit is such a better idea if someone wants the cooling of the ZR1. Not to mention it looks more in line with the design if the car vs the "fast and the furious" looking front clip of the ZR1. The corners are just too pronounced from too many angles it looks out of place.

I said "no more mods", but I'd slap down the ZR1 front end and wing on my Z

Have you seen it in person? I have, up close and personal, and do not share this opinion. Looks aggressive but blends perfectly fine and looks like it belongs there. In other words, your opinion is arbitrary. They actually did a very good job with it. For whatever reason in pictures it doesn't show it properly. I took 50 pictures of a black one here locally and it still doesn't look the same as in person. But feel free to continue to go into every post you find and call it "Fast and Furious".

So his opinion is "arbitrary" but your opinion is ... ???

There is just no way I could do it, I have never supported Cobra emblems on V6 Mustangs and this is eerily similar to me.
Might as well slap a ZR1 logo on the back too.

The high hood is there for one reason that the Lt5 engine is just super tall. No lt5 the hood would be dorky. Street use the front bill will get biffed.
The LG kit is awesome for cooling and will be way less than the cost of just the ZR1 hood . ZR1 front on the Z06 ? Not a good idea!
Just say no!

I disagree...The GS has almost all the things that make the Z look more aggressive minus the engine and badges. I see tons of Stingrays with the Z front and think nothing of it...Might be a nice add on piece if it looks good and is somewhat functional. And cost about $39k less...LOL!
Im going to get the new ZR1 next year but wouldn't mind seeing a few Z's with the front...I think it looks terrific!

Outside of pure functionality (get the LG clip) as others have stated its cheesy to imitate other models ...

I absolutely LOVE the ZR1 nose-very Aventador-like. It makes the car.....along with the big wing.

The ZR1 nose would not be functional on a Z06 like it is on a ZR1.
Would scream POSER and under the whole hood bonnet would be air .
Plus were talking a lot for the hood and everything else. All this is IF it could be done with out HUGE EXPENSE Be ALOT better to get the ZR1~!

I never understood why people try to make their cars a model that's not theirs lol
It's like being in the C6 section where base guys do fender flares to get the widebody look. Or GS guys swapping out the fenders for ZR1 fenders lol
I do agree the C7 ZR1 front end looks really menacing. But putting the SAME exact bumper on your z06 and you look pretty pathetic IMO. In theory it would be cool, but not to actually do.
If you're going to swap bumpers, go with the LG kit. At least it's something unique and you're not copying anything.
