201.4 MPH at the Mojave Magnum {Multi camera HD Video}
It was a bitter sweet day that got cut short at the Mojave Magnum Mile.
I was able to make 2 passes before the poor soul on a new supercharged Ninja went off the end of the runway at over 200 MPH, he did not survive...
He lined up next to me, and went right after my run, I've got some faint video of him going down the runway as I'm getting my time slip on the taxiway...I reviewed some rear camera video, and you can see him helping me with my Hans on a rear camera view, I really felt bad for him and his family/friends...
The event was shut down after the crash, which happened right around 10:00 AM. I was lucky enough to get two passes in, see below...The car ran GREAT!

congrats and i echo that sentiment.. i have plenty of friend's and co-workers that ride sport bikes and now, being older I worry about them all the time. there's just ZERO protection. Having been thrown from a camaro at 55mph on impact with a telephone pole at 17 (friend driving) no seat belt, i can tell you i became familiar with our own mortality so the speak as i thought i was going to die. i flew through the air and skidded off the road, sidewalk and grass 100ft. lucky to be alive with just a bruised kidney, road rash on my back more painful than 20 lashes i would imagine, weeks in the hospital to get the internal bleeding under control, and the memory of a split second in flight that felt like 10 or 15 seconds. we are a strange species. taking these risks for the rush.
just so terrible for that rider. god bless him and his loved ones.
almost forgot What MODS??

THANKS GUYS!!!
My car has FULL bolt ons, CPR 2.3 upper and Redline 15% lower pulleys, B&B full Exhaust included long tubes...
Ryne at CMS did give it the latest tune once I added the 103 Katech TB!!
It appears from previous years results, and this is a slight assumption, that a stock Z06 goes around 173-174 at Mojave...

Congrats on hitting the double century. Bet you'll hold onto those slips for a while.
I ride sport bikes too and hate to hear something like this happening. Any news on the cause? I dropped a ton of dirt bikes when I was young but fortunately only been down once on a street bike. Even that wreck, fairly slow over the bars, earned me a broken thumb and separated shoulder. Fortunately I never ride without gear so I didn't have a scratch on my. I still ride on the street from time to time but much prefer track days. No cops and no cars. Even there though, you never know what can happen. I've seen a number of wrecks and we had a fatality at an event a few years back, even with the air barriers coming out of corners. There's definitely risk involved but I can't imagine not doing it. Love me some speed.
