Default C7Z - Alignment specs - before and After

As the thread reads - Here is the alignment as the car was delivered

https://www.corvetteforum.com/g/picture/9577112

Here is after - per my request of a street alignment.

Commentary welcome -- and if someone wants to repost the images inline in the body of thread for easier viewing have at it.

This was done by the dealer as a warranty courtesy no charge. The car seems to track straighter and isn't as squirelly when you step on the gas

Did they measure and set rear caster? The machine can't read it. They need a digital angle gauge and an adapter. Then it is written on the alignment sheet.

i don’t know if they did anything with rear caster. I’ll text the tech that worked on the car.

They don’t have each side exactly matching up. Is this ok?

Yes is okay. For rear caster the tech needs a digital angle gauge and the GM Digital Angle Gauge Adapter (CH-47960-10). Sounds like "Bill" doesn't have these required tools, or if he does he did not record his measurements.

the camber was way off front and rear from the factory setting.

What does rear caster impact?

I will say with the street alignment the front tire skipping at low speed turning is way more pronounced then it was before the alignment. But that could be due to tire pressure. I usually keep the tire pressure at 35lbs . And it was lowered to 29lbs when I got the car back. I’ll pump them back to 35lbs and see how that does.

When you find out if he was able to get the tools to set the caster will you let me know? My car will be here in a few weeks and I will want to get the alignment done on it to save the tires.

Thanks Gizmo!
