Default Best mod to date on my 2017 Z06/Z07

Yea really hard to believe the dealer reprogramming the suspension on my 800 mile new car made that much difference, but truthfully it made the car REALLY fun to drive. Our roads in northeast PA and upstate NY where I have homes are horrible at best, it was bone jarring driving the Vette, so much so I bought a turbo s for something that was way more comfortable to drive compared to my Z06, this is my 6th Z06, and 12th Corvette, of course I am old so that is not helping. After reading all the reports of owners getting the reprogramming I said what was there to lose, had it done Friday morning, brought the car home and it sat until Saturday morning, they said let it sit 8-10 hours, drove 100 miles Saturday and 200 miles Sunday, could not be more pleased, well I could be if the car came this way in the first place. On my roads and how I drive this was worth it for me

Good for you. Although our roads are decent, I still might do it, too.

How much was it and how long did it take?

I've got my last free oil change on May 4th, just 1 week before the Virginia Beach rally. I'm really thinking about spending the $350 to do this. Seems to be enough people saying only good things about the computer upgrade.

I've been contemplating this as well... I am just really curious to hear from those who have used this update as well as the DSC controller to see which one they prefer and why.

I have the DCS controller and the ride is smoother but yet feels more firm and planted feels good on curves. Really liking it!

hcvone, I have the same year Z07 and have been contemplating getting this done. As it stands now, I can't really tell much of a difference between track and touring mode. Do you feel like there is an appreciable difference between driving modes now? I too deal with crappy roads most of the time...

had it done on my 2016 z06 (non z07) and the difference makes the car much more fun to drive. It was very stiff and you felt every bump. Now it's still planted but so much smoother. best mod I ever got on my 3 vettes

I had the DSC, now the update. For a variety of reasons I'm happy with the update verses the DSC.

Are the 2019s and 2018s suspensions already programmed to the new settings?

2019s yes. 2018s partially. 2018s can still benefit from the upgrade, but it's not as drastic as the 14-17s because some of the new calibration was built into them at the plant.

Default upgrade

Had car done yesterday on 2017-Z06-Z07. What numbers should I be looking for on the GM Vehicle Calibration Site to see if things changed? Didn't feel much different on ride home. Take it out today to see if the ride has changed.

No matter what mode you had it in before, it now is softer than all previous settings. Not just better in tour mode? If so it should be available to any customer that complains free of charge!

I just had the MRC update performed on my '17 Z06/Z07 M7 and while in driving in touring mode, I found a much more compliant ride, honestly, it was a night a day difference....

What’s the part # to tell dealer? Is this programmed through the obd2 port?
