Told me not to get scared but just hold my line and he'd make the pass safely. I was a amused and told him thanks for the warning and that I'd be on the lookout and drive with one eye on my mirror.

First session he seemed annoyed and agitated when I lapped him within 5 laps on a 1.8 mile track. Continued lapping him the entire day and he didn't seem happy. I'm a fan of the GT350 but realize it's not in the same league as a C7Z. However, I was surprised he didn't. Funny ****.

Really funny that the madder he got the more he overdrove his car trying to stay ahead to the point that I "pushed" him into an off track excursion by him overdriving and trying to hold me off.

Track photographer got the attached pic and inserted the caption shown. Cool how the C7Z looks like it's hungry and it sees it's prey/lunch directly ahead...

Rick

Great job classy as always . Should have sent him one of your secret weapons DSCsport I've tuned both at the track very capable when tuned properly .
But I'm thinking the guy may need to tune his chassis and his skills it's not about H/P it's about chassis and skill. That you have both in spades Excellent job I could not be any prouder

i realize its a warm up lap but this guy didnt want to let me by even with the blue flags flying, he finally figured he wasnt going to be able to hold me off and had to let me by.

I owned a gt350 for 7 months in between my viper and my z06. loved its looks, its sound, but it just didnt do it for me on the track.

Wonder if the other driver shared his story on some Ford forum, would be entertaining to read.

I hope not as it would serve no purpose other than to cause embarrassment. It was just a car guy out to have some fun in what many, myself included consider a nice car. He wasn't an *** but it was just sort of amusing the way it transpired. At least he drives it!

Right at 1 min in your nanny controls probably kicked off a tenth or so as well. Have you tracked in sport 2 or race mode? I tend to get less interference in sport 2 but sport 1 seems to be a bit too governing. Not 100% confident with race mode with factory street tires...but nice driving!

I don't see anything happening at the 1:00 mark. PTM is regulating power at the 1:08 - 1:09 mark, not nannies. However, I'm not certain if this is the point you're referring. If you notice you can hear PTM working tracking out of just about every corner as I make prodigious use of it. The video shows I go to full throttle at the apex of most corners and let the PTM/eLSD manage the power and I just steer. As the Milner video has shown the car is not giving up time when it's metering power via PTM even though it sounds like it is. I wish the real race cars I race had PTM...

I've run the car a lot in Sport 2 and Race but don't see a significant, consistent difference in lap times. As such, I typically run in Sport 1 as it's a street car and I get the insurance of nannies without giving up much, if anything at all on track.

^^^Good explanation, Rick. I've only used Sport 1 so far and it seem to work well for me and my level of driving at the track.

I was thinking the same thing. The Mustang G6 site seems to be the most popular. I haven’t seen anything lately.

I’m not sure I was any quicker, but I generally always used Sport 2 as I liked the fact that I could rotate the rear with the throttle more than Sport 1.

Well hell, I feel like a fool and was got good. Two "friends" of mine thought they had strung me along far enough and finally let me in on their little scheme/plot today.

I got punked. The Mustang "driver" who approached me was not the driver of the Mustang or anyway associated with it. He was an out-of-town friend of my so called friends attending the track day as an observer. They put him up to approaching me and asking that I stay out of his way. I feel like an *** but will fall back on the old adage, fool me once....

Sons-of-bitches.

I would likely have got taken in as well. May not have responded with the class you did. If I were the driver of the Mustang and found out about this, I would get a good laugh out of it, and be willing to be your friend.
At least if I was not the arrogant ... your "friends" portrayed me to be. Paul

This is why I don't have "friends."
