First steps modding the new Z
Well, my 2008 is all 'maxed out' and looking forward to bringing the new Z up to its level. My first round of mods would say are relatively minor but gotta start somewhere. Most difficult part of it was spending a boat load of money on Akrapovic exhaust but wanted it to be unlike 99% of the Z's out there.
First round of mods includes American Racing headers, Akrapovic exhaust, MGW short throw, the taller blower lid that they put on 2018s and 2019s, Lingenfelter pulleys and new Gatorbelt.
Cosmetically Ive lowered it and blacked out the tail lights, windows tinted, Stage 3 spoiler. Also considering Side skirts and stage 3 splitter but some have indicated that isnt the best way to go if the car is lowered.
Wish me luck! HP Performance Corvettes has done great work for me in the past and should be all wrapped up by mid May. I hope to capture a video of the dyno and will post for everyone to review. Not a huge change but a nice start. Long term goal is to somehow find a TVS2300 Maggie, Chrome, along with a radical cam. Sounds like the TVS2300 isnt fully developed yet and they are only looking to do it in black. SO, waited long enough and will wait some more.

The 2300 in chrome would be heavier and very ugly! Looks OEM and great in black.

Thanks! My avatar is my 2008 and that bog o chrome football sitting on top catches the eye. Now, looking at yours (must admit that I havent seen one before) and there is no football anymore. Can you fit that under the stock hood?

I did 35% on the windshield and 20% the rest of the way around. Slight difference during night driving but it’s awesome when there’s sun out and you don’t need to put on sunglasses... plus the car looks amazing with a dark windshield!

I'm dying to do a cam but I've learned the tuning is still a little complicated.
