Default M7 Guys. MGW or ....

SO I finally got my dream car and I thought the shifter was perfect compared to others I've driven... but it was for a while... but now I feel like there is something better out there, so the question how many M7 guys are running the MGW?

Thanks

I am normally pretty skeptical of mods. Put the MGW in and I really like it. For comparison I tried the Vitesse throttle controller and pulled it off the car and sold it 3 days later.

I have the Callaway short throw shifter and love it. The throw is extremely short and shifts are very precise.

What's the install time for the MGW? Is it an easy hour job with hand tools? I've done plenty of mods on mustangs but only TB on my Corvette.

So whats the advantage of MGW other than a shorter throw?

It's more than an hour but anyone with basic wrenching skills can handle it. Just follow the instructions carefully -- there are a few places you can really make more work for yourself with a mistake.

Greatly improved feel, namely that the gates are better defined. 3rd gear isn't as sketchy to get into which was always my biggest gripe.

For some reason on my c7z im having a issue hitting 3rd. Seems like it always want to go into 5th. My mgw will be here tomorrow, hoping that takes care of the issue.

Ordered my MGW shifter the day I bought my Z. Was the first mod I did and certainly doesn't disappoint.

Best mod to date. Adds more precision to your shifts as the gates are much more precisely defined. Took me 3 hours to install and very straightforward.

I had a MGW in my C5 and it was great. The stock C7 shifter compared to the stock C5 shifter is night and day. The most difficult shift for me has been the 7 to 6 shift, once I figured that out I have not had any issues.

I thought about upgrading but am happy with the stocker for now. That flat stick does look sweet though....

Looks very nice, where/who is a good vendor to acquire this shifter from? Thanks.

Just order it directly from MGW, as it's the same price that you'll find with any vendor that carries them.
