Z06 with Z07 package ride

Its a bit stiffer. I have to run in tour around here with all our bad roads. I can definitely feel the difference from my Zo7 to my friends Zo6. Best thing is put it in track and you've got a racecar. Put it in tour and its drivable on bad roads. Oh and the carbon brakes and stage 3 aero package. Im soo glad I have the Z07 option.

It is substantially stiffer especially in track mode. In a good way though. I have not had the MRC update performed and find it great in tour mode. I daily drive my car just over 80 miles round trip. You can update the MRC for an even more compliant ride.
And the carbon brakes are the only way to go. Incredible braking power. The power of the car amazing but the stopping power is even better.

This is my second Z07, and I got to say after the update on my 17', the car is SO much better to drive on the poor roads, touring is now almost too soft. The ride was bone jarring on poor roads before the update, was even thinking of selling the car because of how poorly it drove on our crappy roads, on smooth roads it was not an issue, the problem is finding smooth roads where I live and drive. I put more miles on the last 3 weeks than I did the first year. I just liked the looks of the Z07 better, and love the CC brakes, and of course loved the 20k plus off sticker.

I've owned both and the Z07 was just too rough for me.

The biggest difference you'll note (or I did, anyway) with the Z07 vs the Z06 is that little road aberrations, like cracks or pebbles, get transmitted quite sharply.
Put another way, you -feel- everything on the road surface.
I was not willing to put up with that ride for the 1% improvement I might get on my 5 annual HPDEs, so I stuck with the Z06. Plus mine's a convertible so a Z07 convertible seems a little silly to me, but to each their own!

The only time I have ridden in standard Z06s is on the track so can't say much about their ride on the street. In my 15 Z07 I could feel every little pavement crack or irregularity. Then I had the MRC update installed and immediately felt better compliance and less harshness when riding over those same cracks and irregularities. On the track it seems to handle better and after several track days I have lowered my lap time by over a second and I think that is due to the MRC change as well.
If the car is supposed to be a daily driver I would probably go with a Base Stingray since that probably is less harsh. I have driven a 14 Z51 and know it's ride can be harsh as well. However, that is to be expected with any suspension that emphasizes handling performance over touring or drag racing.

I'm really picky about ride. My other car is a Range Rover Autobiography (super smooth) and I even have complaints about the last-gen S-Class ride. And yet I think the Z06 (non-Z07) with the update rides excellent. So it can't be that bad.
Is the base car even softer? No doubt. But with this latest update they've done a great job of providing a Cadillac ride in a Corvette with the turn of a ****!
I don't know if lowering affects the ride, since I've never changed my ride height.

In addition to the Z07 suspension, I would think the Cup tires would also effect the ride quality.
Anyone swap to non-Cup tires and comment on the improvement in ride quality? My friend has a 2018 Z06/Z07 and swapped his Cup tires for the regular Michelin road tires and set his suspension to Tour and he enjoys the ride.

It’s slightly stiffer than the base ZO6. I haven’t had any complaints from my passengers. I usually drive in sport on the street and have done the new calibration. Like Bill mentioned; the new calibration really helped with the compliance over cracks and imperfections. I’m very happy that I have zero need for upgrades to the suspension or brakes in the future. Add in the looks and no brake dust-made it a no brainer for myself. The cups or any run flat is a stiffer ride because the sidewalls. They don’t last that long and many have switched to the super sports.

I’m not positive. I read Tage say it was designed for the ZR1, so I believe the 18s have more than the 17s (depending on build dates) and the 19s have a more complete calibration than the 18s.
