The old radio doesn't understand the new audio data coming from the HMI unit for the Android/Apple functions.

I've been following that monster HMI thread, but it's pretty messy. Still no great solution to upgrading the HMI that doesn't screw up other features, is there?

If I could get working Carplay for a grand without losing other important features, I'd bite.

The backup lines on the camera I don't care, but they were talking about the PDR and mode switch stuff, so I've stayed out.

PDR is an issue. Mode switch works fine. Mode customization is a problem on 2014 only. Works fine on 2015. Backup camera stuff was fixed.

The big sticking point at this time is the PDR.

Hello I buy a cheap hmi 2.5 module that was on an astra in Europe , module no: (84096818) is also part fitment for a corvette 2017 .
My new radio receiver module (23402905) part fitment to a corvette 2016.
So i ask my self if it is necessary to use the vin of 2017 to program it? Or we have to use our vin number to obtain the maximum options?

And what i have to choose when the sps program asks me to select the operating software reference number from a list?

My corvette : 2015 lt2 cabriolet module HMI 2.0 without GPS and standard option.

New hardware i want to install :
HMI 2.5 (84096818)
RADIO receiver (23402905)
USB adapter (13509942)
GPS anten (frequency:1575.42MHZ )

Thank you for the help
