Default Callaway Z06

Can anyone with a Callaway auto z06 describe their experience with the car? Pros/cons?

Thanks

Default Callaway

I don't have one, but I was on autotrader today and a dealer I believe in NC has a brand new one, ceramic grey w/zo7 for sale. Wish I had seen it first!

I have had mine for almost 3 years now, a8 modded to 769/791rw on 93 octane and a splash of m1 methanol.
Pros: too many to list
Cons: waiting to get your Callaway
Never being able to valet park (I don’t trust any of them)
Flying under the ins. Co radar if you Callaway after your car is assigned a VIN. Ohh yeah, that’s a PRO, not a Con

Sounds nice and just as good as a ZR1! That one I described comes up as a Carbon 65 ZO6 search, but it's actually a look a like. Has a light grey interior. Good looking car 747 Horses?

Have had mine for 3 years. Bulletproof reliable. The rig has been great and is a blast to drive. Went with the Callaway exhaust as well, and really glad I did. It's their best sounding system ever. Also had them put their short throw shifter in, which a nice improvement over stock.

Have tracked it, taken it on multi-state long trips, and just hooned around in it. No complaints with mine. Would do it again.

Had mine for 1.5 years. M7 though, not an auto. Short shifter was my only option. It's a beast.

As it comes from Callaway, it's 757 hp and 777 torque.

JHEBERT has turned his up past that, cuz well, cuz he's a hooligan.

Actually is my plan as well after warranty rolls off in a couple years as it's a nice platform to push it higher.

Default 757...

I stand corrected. The pic w/ the hood up had the horse power number on the engine cover. It will make someone a nice car...

2017 M7 Callaway with shifter. Had it for 9 months, no complaints. Love the car. Didn't realize how much faster than stock it was until i went to Spring Mountain and drove a stock ZO6.

2 more horsepower and 777 lbs of torque is 62 more then the c7zr1. The Calloway should be lighter. In the quarter, and zero to 150 mph it should be the same or faster then the zr1

on the road course. The zr1 might have the edge with all the extra cooling. And big wing.

i rather send my almost new c7zo6 to Calloway with a check for 15k for the engine only upgrade then spend 50 to 60k to upgrade my c7z06 to a c7zr1

the only thing I wouldn’t care for is the hole in the hood/shaker with the supercharger sticking through in the Calloway of zr1.

Then the option to keep everything under the stock hood is a magnuson 2300 supercharger upgrade for 5k and have it professionally installed and tuned for 3k.

Callaway official 1/4 mile is 10.5 with M7. ZR1 is listed as 10.1 with A8. I was told by Chris from Callaway that the A8 cuts another 1/10 off so that puts it at 10.4 Not sure how the ZR1 is faster in the 1/4 with HP and Torque advantage of the Callaway. Also Torque on the Callaway comes in 1000 RPM lower than the ZR1.

HPDE @ VIR

I've had my Callaway SC757 Z06 for about 2.5 years. Get to 3-5 HPDEs/year. Callaway also installed a DeWitts racing radiator, Akrapovic Evolution exhaust, and Callaway short shifter. Car has amazing (better) low end torque and pull under full acceleration. Sounds wonderful!! Still has street manners for normal driving. Highly recommend!!

Have had my Callaway for about a year and a half and the more I drive it the more impressed I am. Car is just as driveable as stock but when you get on it be prepared because it will require all your attention. Truthfully it seems to be getting stronger the more miles on it.

Maybe we can get some comparison data at VIR in a couple weeks?

Awesome car!

Did you order it as a Callaway, or do upgrade after purchase?

Their site says do at order time (new) or existing/delivered cars of current/previous model year. I am curious if will do a 2016 like mine. I am hesitant to ping them as may say yes

On/for Corvettes sent to Callaway which are already "in-service, we use the original date of in-service from GM for the 3/36 powertrain coverage, as you would have the balance from new.

3/36 component warranties apply from date of conversion, regardless. I hope this helps - and thanks for the interest in Callaway.
