Default Windows Fogging on Startup

2017 Z06, A8. The last couple days, on startup the windows fog up almost immediately, then clear. I have the climate system set at vent, upper and lower, no a/c, temp setting 60. I just did it again after sitting for about one hour at outside temp of approx. 70 degrees with mild humidity (SoCal). Anyone else experience this or have any idea what is happening?

florida car here, if I had to guess. just some stale air trapped in the HVAC system.. plastic car isn't so insulated so doesn't take much to make the system hot. I get it most nights if I run the car then park with the windows up ( silly I know, but usually Im 5 feet from my car at most times so I just keep the windows down when im in good company )

Was the A/C on when you turned the car off? Try turning the A/C off a minute before shutdown. The blower will get rid of the moisture before the car is turned off. There's a setting called "after blow" that could be enabled to take care of this.

Either your AC or defrost was on before you turned off your car.

Take to your dealer and have them active the after-blow function in the HVAC control module. This will allow the car to cycle the blower motor on and off for a few seconds after the car has been turned off and help to reduce moisture trapped in the system.

Seems that now the a/c is on when it is in vent mode with a/c turned off. The climate control system has been quirky since I got the car 5 months ago. Seems like it has difficulty understanding temperature setting. It can be set at 70 with outside temp at 50 and after just a few minutes of driving the air coming out of the vents is as cold as the a/c when only set to vent with a/c off. I will have it looked at when it goes in for the second free oil change.
