WE run 12,000 miles of testing on every new Vararam product "BEFORE" it's released.

Not really enough air! Just an after market air filter nets 30 rwhp.
There is NO carry over air-filter , those guys didn't even publish the correct pics.
There is a new filter that has a much higher flow volume to support up to 1,200HP Inside the box.

I had a C5 with your ram air system installed - my favorite mod! When I was looking at upgrading my 16 Z - I searched for you first hoping you'd have something...you didn't.

I ended up installing the Haltech CIA and Ram air system, have you done any testing or comparisons with your new system? Any benefits you want to share that would make me swap it out?

Thanks,
Andy

WE have absolutely done comparison on road testing. We have tested against them all at this point. We even modified some of the others to improve their flow and function.
We flow more air volume at each RPM point and we make more boost.

After all ,how much extra boost did you make by installing it on your car? or did you look?

Its a cold air intake, dont expect a lot from any of them.
No mfr on the planet will guarantee XX amount of gain.

WE have been guaranteeing a performance gain on each one of our products for over 18 yrs !

Our products will produce the performance 1/4 mile gain we say or the HP gain we say or we take them back and pay shipping both ways .

We sell thousands of products every year and we have less than a 1/2 of a single % return ratio in 18 yrs and that includes defects.

Most manufacturers would kill for a ratio like that.

Traction will become something of a mystery to your Z-06 with this system. You might get it to hook as you hit 4th gear!

We spent allot of time on the Torque curve.

I can't speak for the Vararam CAI, but my buddy just bought a K&N CAI for his 2017 Z06....He showed me a dyno sheet that came with the kit that shows a 53hp gain. What was surprising to me was the dyno sheet showed gains all through the rpm range, not just at redline

So your buddy is relying on dyno graphs from aftermarket suppliers who want to sell products? What could possibly go wrong with that?

Back in my C5 days, I picked up 2/10th with the Vararam VB2.
Had a cat back exhaust and LS6 intake manifold on 99 C5.

I ran consistently 2/10th faster after the Vrararam install. No clue about dyno results at that time. Product performed as advertised on my platform.

The company mentioned above tends to take a peak number that occurred at some point in the RPM curve , not necessarily where you will be using it during performance driving. Sometimes good ,sometimes bad.
On This one they show peak hp gain at 5,350RPM 50hp or so yet power at 5,600-6350 is not any where near that figure.
Torque is taken at 3,790 ish RPM , that's not peak Torque ( that's at 5,200-5,300)
They also used 3rd gear to do the pull.

What I can tell you is that the unit in question doesn't flow worth a flip in its dynamic position ( in the car, hood closed) . Since none of us drive with our hoods open take from it what you will. We have their system complete with data logs. It does OK but Not this well in Dynamic operation.

Thanks for coming in VR Tech and trying to explain yourself. I wasn't aware that the Z06 version isn't out yet and I'm not sure why everyone is giving you such a hard time when all we have to do is wait 4 weeks.

To satisfy everyone's interest surely you must have your own in-house dyno pulls that you guys did for a true A-B comparison don't you?

Yes, as well as Data logs covering 8 months of back to back testing in multiple weather conditions .

All of this will be available when the product is released as is normal during any product release.
