how are the new GTRs ? I hated the fact no HUD and SPEEDO layout was terrible. You could not even read the SPEEDO

Also huge turbo lag below 4000 rpm. But car is fast from a Dig. Its too fast since it will bang the Rev limiter so easy. Also felt the DC was a bit slow to me but that was a 15

The DCT in the AMG GT R is about as good as the PDK-S gearbox in the Porsche GT cars, so if you’ve driven one of those you’ll have a feel for how brilliant a top notch DCT can be. I have read nothing but great things re: the A10.

From the dig the GTR is a beast. Other than that it’s totally diff power. The 6.2 SC in the Chevy is a beast plain and simple. Power seems instant and always there. Torque obviously as well. The amount of missing amenities on the GTR is scary. They are two different cars. One raw brute and the other
seems more refined at times and the 0-60 seems almost nauseating. Back to the topic at hand the tranny. The A8 is not that bad BUT the A10 in the ZL1 paired with the 6.2 SC in my ZL1 is head and shoulders above. Anyone who
as driven both an A8 and A10 with these same motors will agree. The DTC in the GTR is no
way close to as fast shifting as the A10.

nice ! really love the new MARO. Its better then any POS RUSTANG I ever drove for sure. I drove a few MAROS and the handling feel is just soo nice for a car that size. No real issues for me except again the A8 felt a bit sluggish on the MARO.

Now with the A10 that should really make the car perfect next year since it will be on the SS ! Do you feel that the lag time is actually less when you do a paddle pull on the A10 or are you talking about driving in full Auto mode ? or something else. driving a GTR in full auto mode seems like heresy to me. lol

Its interesting you mention feature gap in the GTR vs the MARO. For the price they are asking thats nuts. Another reason among many why got my z06.

My only bone with the Camaro (particularly the ZL1 w/A10) is it's pushing 4000lbs. Compare that to the 35xx lbs for the C7 Z06 with the same motor. Weight is everything.

Something tells me GM will roll out the ZR1 A8 tune for the Z06 in the future. They'll make some money from it too (ex: MRC Calibration upgrade). The new tune should make some of us at least partially happy.

I actually got the MRC upgrade. Dealer rips you off blind. Car rides so soft now compared to when it was new. night and day. Only thing I hate is Wheel GAP ! I need to lower it but worried about the Splitter on front.

I herd about a retuned zr1 A8 but thought it was urban legend. I have also retuned my TCM on my Z06. do you know what it entails ?
