Default Putting Pilot Super Sports on Z07

If I put the pilot super sports on my zo7 package instead of the sport cup 2s, will it have any negative affects on suspension or ride?

I put Pilot Super Sport ZP tires (standard on non Z07 cars) on my Z07 car after I discarded my sport cup 2's. I noticed an almost immediate and dramatic improvement for street driving. The PSS tires heat up much quicker than sport cup 2's and are far better in wet conditions. I don't think there are many negatives if any. The sport cup 2's may have marginally better performance on a road course when heat cycled properly but don't match up to the PSS ZPs on the street.

When my PSS tires wear out, I'm gonna try out the new Conti Extreme contact sports. Its far cheaper for comparable dry performance ($1200 a set vs $1800 for the PSS).

i put super sports on my custom wheels- i went half an inch wider on the front (like the zr1) to stretch the front and rear tires a tiny bit (about a 10th of an inch). The ride is quieter. not by much. but its quieter, and i DD my car, so it makes sense. as far as handling- its not as good as cups, obviously. but its not bad at all.

Spring Mountain uses PSS's on all the Vette's.

I run SS on my Z07. The Cup2s hook up so much better however on the street but Id save them for HPDEs. Id keep a dedicated set of wheels for road and HPDEs

I did have all 4s switched. Now I have cup 2s in the back only until my wheel warranty is up. Slightly better drive quality, especially in the rain with the mpss but less traction.

How do feel about the extreme contacts vs PSS ZP? Is it better for daily driving and spirited drives ? I know the price difference is substantial at ~$600 for the whole set last I checked. So trying to figure out if it’s a dramatic reduction in performance or about the same as the PSS.

I also would like to know.... Mostly concerned with grip and cornering. Thank you.

I bought another set of wheels and a set of Pilot Super Sports for street use on mine, and I use the Cup 2's for track only. The Super Sports ride a lot better and are far superior in the wet, and the Cup 2's have a far shorter shelf life, but are great for track use.
