if the car is stored inside UNLESS you have small kids or a wife that doesn't take care passing by, don't waste your time with a cover.

the cover goes down to the tires. picks up small things including: sand, rocks, gravel, tar, grease, DIRT, ETC ETC...

get a california duster and dust the car off if you like to keep it as clean as possible. you'll be happier, use the car more, and enjoy having it.

if you just get it for winter storage? i would worry about mice. they're stupid creatures. they see a dark dark place and they will invade. i am convinced through the knowledge pass on by generation to generation and evolution (LOL) they stay away from vehicles with human scent. meaning at LEAST once a week go out to your vette open the car mess around with it for a bit before closing it back up.. good luck.

My wife is a hairdresser and owns her own salon. She has used the human hair trick for years to keep pests away. In garages, flower beds, around the house foundation, etc. It really works.

In Chicago, I would place a sheet of plastic drop cloth on the floor and then park the car on top of it. This helps provide a moisture barrier. I would then slightly over-inflate the tires and if they are run-flats, the sidewalls are pretty stiff already so you don't need to worry about flat spots. I would then shove some steel wool up the tail pipes to prevent mice/rodents from building a nest and then throw some fabric softener sheets in the interior and engine bay. I would then hook up the battery tender, put the cover on, and then check it once a month.

Default don't use all the time...

However when the weather turns such that the haboobs roll in along with torrential rain... it's time. And once on I usually keep it on until I'm ready to do a run.

After all, they are as priceless as a piece of historic art...

Mine is NOT a Z ,but I still cover it when in the garage.
I use this one and the drivers side zipper door is a good feature.

After every drive,I wipe my car down with some detail spray, then put on cover.

I found the information on the cover I have. It is called NOAH, and I bought if from Covercraft in 2014. It has served me effectively and I would buy it again. Their website is covercraft.com.

Forget the cover unless you have some crazy stuff going on in your garage such as dogs, kids, an angry significant other which a cover won't help anyway. Dust the Z off and roll.

LOL, I have a Saint Bernard that sleeps in the garage next my car. The cover alone is a saving grace from all the dog hair, dust, and yes some slobber. One good thing, he is 140 lbs. with a loud mean bark.

it was the GM cover option when I ordered the Z, it's from Coverking but which one I'm not sure... according to GM website is indoor/outdoor.

Same here. A quick shot of compressed air blows the dust right off.

Car capsule makes some neat products for car storage.

In the good weather months when I'm driving it, the cover is in my tool cabinet. In winter months I wash, wax, detail and air up the tires and plug in the Ctek and the cover goes on for the duration.

Wash and wax, and park it on a sheet of heavy plastic in my unheated, attached garage. Then after the hard freeze when the vermin are all hibernating, I will hit the car with some detailing spray and a micro fiber cloth and after it dries completely I cover it with a fleece indoor cover for the duration. Mostly to keep the heavy dust off the convertible top.
