Just got my Z06 TODAY....

It’s Charleston, SC so it’s pretty hot and humid. But our other cars do not do this. I wasn’t sure if this is the norm. I thought the fan would not have started until it ran for a bit but I guess, if I’m understanding correctly, then the fan’s pretty much gonna run when the ac blows...I guess.... and if that’s normal than I’m okay with that.

Congratulations. Very beautiful color, nice Z. Good luck with it and lots of miles. Now this may be the opposite of what you are looking for, but being in the humid climate of Charleston, SC, you might want to ask your dealer to enable "afterblow". It is a feature that turns on the fan after you shut the car down. It dries off the condensation on the AC evaporator coils so that you don't get that musty smell from your air vents when you turn the AC on. I did this on my C6, and will have it done on my Z the next time it is at the dealer. I think all late model GM vehicles have this feature, so your dealer might be familiar with it. Many aren't. Unfortunately it is not a DIY on the C7 unless you have the MDI and the GDS2 software. It required a Tech2 on the C6 to set it, which I have.

Just bought my Z06 and had if delivered today. The dang fan seems to constantly be turning on as soon as I crank up. I’m reading through the the manual and I don’t see anything about that. Anyone got any ideas on what it could be. Z has 1100 miles on it. Pristine condition or so I think. Will have it checked out at the dealer tomorrow.

My RS7 fan runs for at least 5 minutes after I shut down, this sounds like a very good idea for the Vette, why wouldnt they have it work this way out of the gate? A 650 HP car is going to get super hot in any environment during summer months

Chevy probably did not do it because it worries people and annoys others. Some people want their cars to be silent when they shut them off and not sound like they are overheating all the time.
