Default Does a C7 Z06 fit on a lift?

I have a Greg Smith Atlas lift in my barn - anyone know if a stock C7 z06 fits on this lift and if not - how close is it i.e. how thick do the boards on the floor need to be?
Thanks in advance!

I have an Atlas 408 and it fits fine. I use a set of extra race ramps to decrease the angle but my car is also lowered on drop spindles. You do have to be careful as the car’s track is nearly as wide as the ramps.

Nice setup - my lift is a PV9P - 2 post... and I'm wondering about the arms swinging under the car AND I see these funky little pucks people use on the C7 that twist into the frame I guess for lifting... I have a friend with a lowered Mustang (really low) and it's hard to get his car on the lift without some boards or something under the wheels.

To be clear - the inability to get a C7 onto the lift is not going to stop the purchase... just wondering

I dont use the pucks and the arms swing under mine fine. I am just careful to line the pads up with the jacking points on the frame rails.
The pucks would probably be very close but nothing that an equivalent thickness of thin plywood to drive up on at all four wheels wouldn't compensate for if required.

I've used a Bend Pack 2 post. Keep the arms way out and get the car perfectly placed between the posts. Jack it up at each end and put 1 or preferably 2 short 2x6s, stacked, under each tire. Don't let them extend toward the center of the car as they will get in the way of extending the arms under the lifting points. Place lifting pads or hockey pucks on the lifting points of the hoist arms and carefully raise the car. When finished, put longer 2x6s under the tires so when you lower the car you can drive off. Be sure to place your drive off boards so you can swing the hoist arms out of the way.

Ah, sorry I assumed you meant 4 post when you asked about stacking boards to get it on. Even with a 2 post, you should be fine at stock ride height. At most you can put down a couple 2x4, or 2x6s and get the front up far enough. I do recommend jacking pucks if you have side skirts though as they tend to hand down lower than the jacking point.

I have a MaxJax and with a stock height Z06/Z07 the lift arms easily swing under the car and fit under extra thick lift pucks. The thicker pucks help as the lift arm rises as they keep the thicker part of the arm below the side skirt so no weight is carried by the side skirt as the car is lifted.

I just throw a hockey puck on the maxjax pads and it provides just enough clearance for the side skirts.

Not sure about your brand lift, but for my lift I use ramp pads that are made of plywood and end up about 1.5" thick. I let the rear arms hit on the frame outside of the normal lift point. Works great.

I use the same trick on my lift for my current car - bag of pucks from amazon is like $10 and you have enough that even when they roll off - you still have more

I have a Direct Lift Pro Park 8S which is similar to the Atlas. Bought originally in 2012 for my '95 ZR-1 which is a bit narrower. The C7 Z06 works fine on it but if you have it exactly centered on the lift ramps the tires hang over the outside edges on both sides just a bit; it obviously has a wider track than the ZR-1. On purchase, I bought a set of 36" long Race Ramps in theory made specifically for this lift. They weren't quite perfect but they work fine to get the cars on and off without any problems. My Z06 is at stock original height, not lowered. Lots of pics in my albums section. --Bob

Default Sort of

My C7 Z06 tires also hang over edges on both sides by at least an inch on Direct lift DP-7000. Cables and hydraulics run under one ramp but other ramp has nothing under it(may be similar to other brands). 4 large bolts secure the ramp and end stop plate brackets. Pull the bolts, move ramp out as far as it will go, re-drill support ( a real bitch because thick gauge metal), re-attach, and you may gain enough to keep all 4 tires on ramp with no overhang.

I have two Bend pack 4 post lifts. 1 is a HD-9 and the other is an HD-9XL. The XL is wider by about 8 inches, and the Z06 just fits if I get it perfectly centered, which is pretty easy with the front camera....once you know just where the car needs to be placed on the camera to be centered on the lift.

The problem with moving your ramps are 1. Your pans and any attachments that fit between the ramps will no longer fit. 2. and most importantly...you are changing the center of gravity, and if your lift ever fails for any reason the company will blame the modification.

I would buy a lift that the car fits on.
