Oil monitor 20% after 1201 miles
After 1201 miles and 10 months my oil monitor is down to 20%. Is this normal? I would think a year to get this much left with so few miles.
Yes I know I don't drive it much but I do have three cars and the Z06 isn't my daily driver. It's my fun car!

Even if you change your oil and park it for the year it will say 0% after the year has passed. Your oil is nearly "expired" only due to time.

I think we should change the oil on these cars once a year anyway, regardless of miles. When i changed my oil a couple of weeks ago, i had only put exactly 2,937 miles lol. In exactly 9 months. Well 8 months 29 days to be more exact. My OLM was at 21% when i changed it.

Yes, at 498 miles I rolled into the dealer and had my oil changed. Also had my second change one year later and it wasn't 20% although I don't know for sure what it was then. But now at 10 months it is at 20%.
Like someone said, the OLM uses an algorithm in determining the life of the oil. It uses time but i also think it has a lot to do with trip/temp. Meaning if you start up the car and idle it a lot (say it winter), that will also decrease the % slightly faster as if you just drive it normally for a couple of weeks IMHO. At least going by my experience.

Idling might explain why the 20% now. I was doing some tuning with the car idling at one point dialing in my wideband. And I had planned to change the oil at one year but now I'm going in on Tuesday and get it done for my third change.
By the way, I called the dealer and they do have the 0W-40 ESP oil in stock. Maybe a good reason to go ahead now.

Changed my oil last October, parked it in November, pulled it out in May (25" of snow last April), oil life 30%. No idling / cold starts. Battery tender only.

My 08 LS3 would go a whole year and not close to 20%. Apparently GM/Mobile wants these Z06s changed more often.

my old '12 c6 gs went about 15 months on one oil run before I finally changed it. Olm read 24 or 25% when I changed it.

I'll change oil according to the factory recommendations, as long as I have a warranty. After that, I'll go more by the tons of data derived from used oil analysis, which strongly suggests that the oil can go much much longer, without any downside whatsoever.
