Z07 Owners, Brake Squeal Solved!!!......almost
The low speed light braking brake squeal on my Z06/Z07 was driving me nuts,
as it has for many others I see in other threads.
I noticed like others that after washing car it would temporarily go away.
SO,
I get the bright idea to use my high pressure pistol grip hose sprayer narrow spray about pencil width
and I get 1"-2" away from the pads and caliper from above, the side and under at all angles (Key#1)
I sprayed each one for about 1.5 - 2+ minutes each (Key #2), making sure to hit from all angles and was ultra thorough and methodical on the time.
Result?..........
The Squeal was gone for MUCH much longer, like 3-4 times the mileage than before,
so the longer you rinse them the longer before the squeal will return.
I currently getting over 100 miles before it starts to come back, and even then it seems much less severe, barely audible.
It also seem like each time I am doing this it's cumulative and seems to last longer each time, only done it 3 times so far...
So anyway FWIW if you try it, post here w/ your results.

Sr.Random input generator
So is this method essentially removing the layer made by brake burnishing to get rid of the noise?

I know this will not make you feel any better, but I have 4 different cars with carbon ceramics on them, and everyone from time to time will make that not warmed up enough squeal, it's the brakes way of telling you they are not up to operating temp yet. It's on every forum no matter what car or cost, from time to time carbon ceramics squeal
