I really want that front bumper and the more efficient performance the zr1 has over the z06.

while the price they want is a lot vs what the price goes for in the z, you still cant change the fact that owning a zr1 and you know you own the king of corvettes!

both are amazing though!

Saying I have the "King of Corvettes" isn't worth an extra $50-60k to me. I'm perfectly happy with the "Prince" and all that extra cash in my account.

I agree fully. I never said it was worth their price. I'm saying that I get why it's that price and I get why it sells.

I am keeping the Z06/Z07, the ZR1 needs a garage friend since the garage is being taking over by Euro cars, I want to drive both for 6 months and I'll sell the one I like least, maybe

The price for the placebo effect is high if you want to add 150 to your Z06 it is 7300.00 if you can DIY then a tune.

this Jake stinger should be mandatory Z06 equipment..... just makes the whole front wicked.

the same decal on the ZR1 goes unnoticed because the exposed bulge is half the width.

I like the rear wing for the race car look (no denying the function) but the front without the spats (cant belief I'll defend these little cheap plastic things) is way too wide when standing in front.

if you haven't seen one in person the difference is pronounced. And the smallish openings in front as opposed to the larger single opening on the GS and Z06 is still odd to me. And I try to love it. I love the idea of it and function but asthetically it's too much fast and furious to me in any other color than black or gray... usually after a while new look becomes normal.. I still cant say it about that nose.

I showed a pic of my Z (i just added the stage 3 winglets a couple of weeks ago so it looks really nice) to my coworker and he said, "oh nice stingray, are you going to upgrade to the ZR1?"

And i told him it's not a stingray it's a z06. And he said, "Whats that?"

LOL so i guess only to car people will they know the differences but any other person will not know. But because these days the king of the hill ZR1 is out, now everyone knows that. So they can definitely tell the difference between a ZR1 front vs any other C7 front.

So i suppose now it's ZR1 or bust lol

Oh well, i still love my Z. Waiting anxiously on the C8 though. Dual clutch time baby!!!! LOL

he doesn't care about cars at all lol. He drives like a 2003 Ford escape. But he knows the zr1, I assume because of all the talk and seeing them on YouTube on the featured videos. And the stingray he knows bexause that was the debut model. But he doesnt know the z06. He thought I had a stingray.

Yeah perhaps he's jealous but at the moment those jokes come about, all i can do is laugh and admit he's right. He didn't say my car sucked, he just said i don't have a ZR1. Which is true lol. I don't. And yes neither does he. But he didn't spend the money to buy a corvette, i did. And according to him, it's not the ZR1 lol.

Honestly, he sounds like a completely jealous d-bag. You've got a 650hp monster of a car that up until 5 min. ago was the most powerful Corvette ever made and he has a 15 year old Ford that is worth less than my refrigerator. I'd put him in his place real quick because I don't suffer fools like that one bit.

lol no don't get me wrong, i am not offended or feel some type of way about anything he says. because like you said, he's probably jealous or just wants to joke as playing around. I get it. I joke around a lot too, as some might already know in some of the threads here

but i was just saying that i don't really have a comeback. So technically i can't joke back. I can make fun of his car but he can still make fun of mine, claiming it's not the ZR1, or top of the line vette etc.

I don't do 1/4 mile runs and I don't do track days, so for me the main performance stat would be 0 to 60 mph, and that's traction limited in most rwd cars. I was happy to trade in a 2006 Z06 for a used 2015 Z06 3LZ M7 (without Z07) a couple of months ago. I'm not sure what I would buy if I had the money to buy a ZR1, such as getting the bigger wing. I've got a motorcycle (2001 Hayabusa), which is faster still (and not traction limited, but it is wheelie limited, even though 1st gear redlines at 80 mph), so car performance is less of an issue for me.
