Underside of the hood, carbon top with fiberglass skeleton or full fiberglass top and under skeleton. Underside in carbon is optional

I wonder how a C7 would look with the supercharger sticking through the good? Might help with cooling the blower a bit as well?

I plan to cut a stock hood, and let it hang out. RIP Burt Reynolds

Donít get water on the hood. Lots of important parts around the SC lid area.

Mine traps 148 and makes 18.6 psi, so there is that

I need to run at least the 8.88 diameter lower to do what I want...
I have a kit that retains the 11 rib, but has my custom offset forward with a 15% lower ring. Made for the ATI balancer, includes a spacer kit for the GM idlers, and tensioner, lower 15% ring and custom Griptec upper pulley. Will fit LT5, and certainly can be made to fit the LT4 and Whipple's.
LT5 blower kits with my controller and belt systems are done for the C7 and ZL1/CTS-V, not for the faint of heart or budget builders, but is the best design and performer of the roots type blowers for the LT4 platform. We are over 1020 rwhp and 915 ft lbs of torque at only 21.6 psi of boost on E85 with stock LT4 longbock with just cam and valvetrain. Dropping the upper puley size, porting the blower and adding a big throttle body, along with the better low side and will see how much further we can go with it.

LOL, your ears must be ringing. I didn’t want to make the call until all my ducks are lined up, but I’m close (60 days or so). CR Fueler/Holley dominator/ 2650 for me because hell, I’m already so deep into my ride that I might as well be buried in it

I too ordered from CR. Hopefully my widebody can be done in 60 days or so. Then I can drop in the full kit with ported and 112mm with a 416.

Will see how close to 1200 whp or maybe even exceeding it

Yeah if you could make it look that tasteful! I think they look pretty cool with the blower on display. Understand about the electronics but anything under the hood should be able to take a decent amount of water and still function. Well they should from factory anyway. Iím sure crawfordís writing will be as high if not higher quality. So a little rain / water wonít cause any issues.

If you think about it the top lid on the LT5 will be pretty hot! So any airflow over it will reduce temps. Not massively but every little helps.

Go get that pulley coated with tungsten carbide. Trust me it works. Big time.

The upper is coated, I can smoke a belt to the point of breaking in 3 passes, and the belt smokes like a tire on the upper pulley. Before I coated it last year, it would slip more, but smoke less.

Curiosity question: Are you getting slip at the crank too? If not, have you considered upsizing the blower pulley a touch and overdriving the crank a little more to even each other out? Just a thought and a cheaper option than jumping straight to the ZR1 drive.

I have a 9.5” 10-rib that I had ATI make for me 2 years ago, but with a 2.6250” upper it slips pretty good above 5500rpm or so. The hole in my hood gives me a pretty good view every time it happens too.
My problems are not just the pulley diameters, but I upgraded everything to 10-rib, including the tiny *** factory tensioner pulley. One of the issues is that I had to use a larger diameter pulley on the tensioner and I believe that gives the belt more leverage against the tensioner spring so it can’t pull as hard on the belt. The ZR1 tensioner I have now is much beefier and has the small diameter pulley in the correct width. This alone MAY solve my issue, but a bigger blower spinning slower is in the works now.
