Default No remote detected

At first I thought it was because I only use the one remote and the battery must be going bad. I tried the other remote yesterday and it did the same thing. I finally got it to start but very frustrating. I tried putting the remote in the slot under the steering wheel but it didn't seem to affect it. Anyone have this problem??

I tried that and it didn't do anything. After a few times getting in and out it will start. I just ordered new batteries and I hope it takes care of the problem.. Thanks man!!

If the car battery is low on charge, it can have trouble recognizing the remotes. Went through this a couple of months ago.

Agree with above. Bad car battery can produce the same problem. If the new batteries you ordered don't fix the problem (by the way, Home Depot carries them) then get your car battery load tested.

If you replace it put in an AGM battery like an odyssey. It will have more power and it will last longer

Exact same thing just happened to me. No remote detected. I put the remote in the steering column. It started with remote in steering column.
i only use one remote and assumed that the other would work, tried it, no go. Changed batteries in both and both work just fine now.
Fwiw, mine is three years old, an early 2016 model.

All the batteries in the early 2016 cars must be going at the same time. Just replaced mine last week. Paul

So I put new batteries in both remotes and I still have the same problem. It will start eventually but not like it should. No other problems with the car so I don't think it is the battery. The battery gauge is reading 14 something. When I push the start button it takes a few seconds before it starts when it actually starts. Looks like it is going to have to go to the dealer..

Might not be relevant, but my 16 Malibu had this issue, there's a service bulletin on this issue. Dealer replaced the fob receiver and flashed a update. That fixed it.The dash should report a low fob battery

Battery gauge reads alternator output, doesn't tell you anything about the car's battery. Get it load tested, most auto parts stores will do it free.

If you suspect the battery the first thing to do is to check all of the battery cable connections to the battery to make sure they are clean and making good contact. I have seen a lot of batteries replaced that didn't need to be replaced because people didn't make sure the battery posts and cable connectors were clean and making good contact. A car's electrical system is low voltage/high current and small amounts of resistance in the circuit can lead to large voltage drops where you can't afford to have them. Since the Corvette has a composite body all ground connections have to be checked as well since the body doesn't conduct electricity like metal car bodies do.

I agree. Several of us have had battery related issues. Some were just loose wires. One was a new battery but the installer had failed to connect a ground correctly. My battery showed a good charge but when I replaced it all the issues I was having with codes went away. These are strange vehicles when the voltage is not correct.
