I've updated my usual track video layout, and added more details (ambient temp, decimals, etc.), as well as a temporary 2D graph of the coolant temps. Below is the video I've made today, the whole last session, uncut. I intend to make similar ones after I install the AUX cooler:

Sorry Bruno, I missed this.

I have a couple of pics, not great, but I'll throw them out here.

I was thinking if I lift the front edge up slightly some air would flow through Trans cooler exiting in an upward direction, and some would be deflected down to feed the new Dewitts aux cooler.

I also have a fan that came with the trans cooler that I could add to move some air if needed.

You could technically add the aux cooler as it goes below that but it would require some custom work. Butit would be way less effective due to temps and airflow. Did you add that trans cooler yourself?

No I had a shop do it. I can do some mechanical stuff but wanted to be sure tying it into the stock cooler in the rear driver's quarter panel was done right.

I can fashion some new brackets to move it slightly but there is only a bit of room to move it due to hose length.

So I'm receiving the AUX rad kit, tomorrow. Should I try venting it, or leave it like stock? Would venting it cause any drop in air flow to the main rad and intercooler? What do you guys think?

I would leave it as is unless not enough air can vent between that larger cooler and the undertray piece. Can always open it up later and put some mesh on it.

I'm with Pacebellum. Leave it unless it's not venting enough.

I have two covers in there (bottom one for splitter support). Even if we leave the bottom one intact, one should consider the other one. I think I'll have a better idea when I see it, too. The OEM has a bit of a space under there, but the thicker unit might be sitting flush.

You'll see but the two become flush to each other at the rear (radiator support). Venting the upper one (bumper undertray) would have zero effect as the splitter undertray is sealed to it.

Here's how they are laid out.

I think all you need is six or so 2" holes right in this area through both undertrays. That should be plenty extra airflow and I doubt it would disturb any aero.

Looking at that makes me want to switch my 2017 aux cooler to 2015-2016 plumbing direction to remove the oil cooling load and place this UNDER the Dewitt’s aux cooler plumbed in-line with the radiator like the 2017 kit. This way I’m exhausting much cooler air into the hot oil heated water. Figure 240-250 degree water and 150 degree air coming out of the bottom of the Dewitt’s that’s still a solid delta T.

I thought about the GMPP routing, too. It makes so much sense to keep the AUX radiator as hot as possible to make it as efficient as possible. I am surprised that the factory equipped cars didn't come with that layout. I actually have a new GMPP kit (that my friend bought but decided to not install). Makes me wonder what would happen if I installed it in addition to the AUX cooler, to the top of the radiators by the hood shroud (air exiting from radiator). Oh well : )

Not much... Air coming out the radiator will be in the tune of 200 degrees on track....

I discussed the two layouts at length on the 2017+ aux cooler routing thread. I think it's basically a wash in the end. Higher flow , less Delta T on 2017+ vs less flow higher Delta T on the add on kit.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1599576633

Both styles are in PARALLEL with the main radiator.

If you remove the bumper undertray and only run the splitter undertray you could sandwich another cooler below the horizontal cooler if you wish. I don't think it will be as effective as running another cooler as shown below.

But at this point if you REALLY think the Dewitts kit won't do it for you, short of cutting up the front bumper the only thing left to do is add a setrab cooler+fan below one of the headlights... Setrab can sell you a whole kit with thermostatic electric fan switches and all.

You will have to cut the ribs off the upper tray for cooler clearance. For now, I'm telling people to Not cut the holes until they run the car. Many people have had good results with the GMPP without venting and these should be no different.

I don't think you see my point. Just yesterday, My coolant temps stayed around 230, while oil almost hit 280, and it might be even more inside the OEM oil cooler hx. If the coolant in AUX was heated up to 280 degrees, it would definitely cool better. I'm also not sure if the flow is much different, either.

You can try it. Won't be hard. I didn't have much luck. But I did it with an oil cooler... I guess anything helps.

You can get a better angle on a Z06 as there's much more room. You'd need to put it as close to the rear of the hood vent as possible and as horizontal as possible (air doesn't really go out the front of the vent).

Installing the TC now and having trouble understanding where in the coolant system gets tapped into? The directions don't seem to say specifics. Thanks

Hi Tom,

Any update on whether you have any 32-C7aux coolers ready to ship or approx. timing on availability?
