Default DeWitts TOC/EOC Combination system

Well, it's finally happening. We had many set backs with tooling and design but prototypes look good and testing is better than expected. This thread will document the design and our progress right up to the release of the kit forsale.

Here they come!

Tom, where is that suppose to be installed? Will it come with all the hardware to make it easier to fit?

I can't wait to see the finished product. Can we have a little more info on these?

Will they mount in the corners of the bumper and replace the existing front trans cooler on the A8 cars? It would be nice to be able to install the secondary radiator like the M7 cars.

The two coolers will mount in the exact same location and mounting holes as the A8 TOC and/or the GMPP aux cooler. One cooler will be used for transmission (TOC) and the other will be for Engine oil (EOC). These coolers are compact, high performance coolers, designed to have a higher air pressure drop (delta P) across the cooler. The heat from both items will be completely exhausted below the car. The added pressure will force more air into the Hx and radiator routing.

This is just an early mock up for fitting the coolers.

Default M7 z

So one of these coolers would be a drop in replacement for the stock HX on my '19Z? Looking forward to see the test results between your unit and the stock HX..

No. This part of our C7 system eliminates the factory water-to-oil (EOC) by using 1/2 of the stock TOC location. DeWitts does have a larger HX for C7, but this does not apply here.

I guess that could be possible but in that case I would just use the stock A8 Cooler

The A8 runs very cool on a road course due to the auxiliary transmission cooler in the nose of the car; it’s the engine that runs hot and results in limp mode, etc. Replacing the pathetic EOC in the car with this oil cooler whilst still retaining a secondary transmission cooler has been the holy grail IMHO for the A8 version. I hope that testing shows this dual mode cooler allows the A8 to run a full HPDE session at high rpm like the M7 version is able to already.

That's an excellent question! I guess we have to remove the aux cooler and share the space.

I think he means you would have to remove the aux radiator, but one of the heat exchangers would be the oil cooler and the other can serve as a replacement to the aux radiator.

So the duo from Dewitts would fit in the space of the GM aux?? If yes, when will you have the kit ready?
