My 2015 Z06 was a first week Jan 2015 production Z06 w/A8. The VIN is well before the November 2015 date in this TSB....does say model year 2015, but date is well after that for many Corvettes.
Am I covered if I want the A8 fluid replaced?
NOTE: Appears some have this "shudder" even in manual mode. So, my AFM A8>A4 is another issue. I had changed the belt tensioner and belt w/heavy duty belt altready. Looks like the RANGE will continue to be used.
I have had zero problems using the RANGE disabler almost since day 1.....but it does have the "flutter" or "shudder" when moving from A8 > A4 at times. Just use Manual or RANGE and no issue.

Going in to have my 2016 done this Tuesday. I tested it by driving on the tollway at about 70 mph on cruise control in 8th gear then put the trans in manual mode. Definitely could feel the shudder on light throttle tip in. Did it repeatedly. I tried to test in Drive too but the trans downshifts too quickly so it masks the problem. --Bob

This seems to be more of an issue in the Gen 6 Camaros, but I’d highly suggest you A8 Vette guys change over ASAP as well. The new fluid is Mobil 1 LV, which is now synthetic whereas Dexron HP was not... If you have HP Tuners, I would disable the AFM or run a Range AFM disabler. If you wait until you feel the shudder, you’re already burnishing the torque converter clutches... not good.

If you change the fluid to the new Mobil 1 LV, and order up a Range or Diablo AFM disabler, I’d say you’ll be much better off...

eh.... worst case is a new converter down the road. The warranty is long. Do the flush when you can and enjoy the car.

Any owners in the Metro Detroit Area that would recommend/ vouch for a particular dealership to have this fluid flush/fill done at ? I'd like to take care of this as a precaution sooner rather than later!

1. Just pay the $300 or so to have it done. Given the cost of the car, it’s well worth it!
2. Find a friendly Service Manager in advance. Ask him: if it was your car, would you wait for torque converter damage to change the fluid? It seems silly given that we know GM is using a different fluid now anyway. A good guy will cover it under their discretionary “Customer Enthusiasm” funds. This is how I did it.
3. Tell them your are getting the shudder on occasion. Even if they cannot duplicate it, they know the problem exists and would likely change it anyway IMO.
