Default Z06 and Grand Sport tires

large tires seem to pull car in all directions on irregular surfaces
That happen to you?

It's called tramlining, and an alignment should help. My car doesn't do it.

Its the price you pay for more rubber on the road. An alignment could help but the wider the tire patch the more it will tramline.

I switched from the Michelin's to Continental Extreme Sport Pro's and it eliminated the wander problem. You do lose the run-flat capability, however.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

The wide tire sizes are part of the problem but the tires themselves are the real problem.

Once i switched to conti, every single thing changed for the better. The ONLY, ONLY thing i miss from the PSS RF's is the square'ish blocky shoulder.

However that was a small downside to accept given all the upsides switching to conti does.

I have no need for a run flat.

I switched to the non run flat Michelin SS tire on my ZR1 from the pilot sports. Ran several sets of those. Slightly better ride.
Really thought this was the best tire very happy with those till I went to the MPSS the stock Z06 tire even after ditching my first set. After comparing those two tires again. I really discovered my folly. The MPPS is made for the Corvette.
HAS BETTER MAX grip then the standard Michelin SS tire. Wears great. I will continue to use them.
