Thanks. I love this damn car. She continues to impress. Never thought it would be so close to a 9-sec car with only a few mods. It wasn't that long ago that I was pumped to be in the 10's

Great et and mph! I sure would like to see what your tuner did to your tune to get that low 60'. I have yet to get my throttle to open completely before about 30 mph.

Like most Tuners they don't like to share their secrets but a bunch of guys gave some great input on my other "torque management" thread. Getting 100% power out of the hole completely changed the car. She's an animal now. Night and day difference!

Anybody with an HP Tuner can read your tune file. Unless the tuner locked it. In which case, you need to go back and get it unlocked or you will only be able to use him for future changes. And if he goes out of business for whatever reason then you would have to buy a new ECM and TCM and start over with tuning.

Great time! I wish mine would 60ft that well too. That's the only thing killing me so far.

Night and day difference. So much fun!
what setting are you in ex. I have a M7 with z07 package and just did my first drag this weekend. Hit 122 and like 12 seconds. I ran in sport mode with traction on. Would Race mode with traction on race mode also give it the most power. Have original cup 2's also with 9k on car. Whats tuned E50 mean.

you cant compare his setup to yours.

Leave TC off and AH on.
Try and launch easy and smooth on stock tires with a small burnout.
You are best off in touring mode for now.
No launch control, no powershifting, no dumping clutch, and no flooring the accelerator.
Shoot to get under 2.0 60" consistently.

Nice going to the OP.

I race in Sport mode with TC off and launch from idle but I have an A8. Much easier to launch than a M7. E50 is 50% ethanol with a flex fuel sensor.

I remember back in the 60's that if you had a 12-second car you were pretty much king of the streets.Yes, we're fortunate to own such amazing cars.

Great running Z. Glad I saw this. I was always on the fence about pulling the blower off for something bigger. This pulls me back to staying light bolt on’s with e85. Plenty of damn speed and power that way for the street.

Thanks guys. I see no need to upgrade the blower, personally. Mine is running great! Never even close to overheating, but I also don't push it to 9/10's on a road course.

Halltech CAI, Katech ported TB, Cordes 2.3 upper pulley, Borla x-pipe, tuned on E50 and Hoosier 315/30-18 DR's at the drag strip.

Great stuff man! Im local and hit Byron on occasion...just got a 15 a8 c7z. Did pulley/intake/custom tune as well...have you ever run your car without the drag tires? How were you launching it with stock tires at the track? In sport mode with TC off do you leave active handling on?

Congrats on the C7Z. You're gonna love it! I raced mine bone stock to get a baseline. If yours still has the Michelin's, they actually hit pretty well at the track. Go around the water box and do a dry burnout until you see a little bit of smoke. No need to go crazy. Bring the psi down to 26-27. I launched mine from idle with TC off and AH left on (just in case). You are def going to want to get DR's. It's very addicting. Good luck!

Great run with just a few mods! 137mph is moving along! Right now I have the Mamo TB, BMS filter and x-pipe and I'm going to ECS on Friday for the 2.3 upper, Halltech and a tune. Can't wait to feel the difference.

I'll be running straight 93 octane, how much power do you think you gain with E50? Really wish E85 was available in my area, but sadly it is not.

If you can't run on Ethanol, I would highly recommend a 98-100 octane tune using Boostane to increase your octane. I ran this way for two years with great results! Torco will also work. I probably saw a 40 rwhp difference on the E50?
