Today, I encountered my first....
So my wife and I were out for a nice back road run enjoying the foliage, top down .Looking in the rear view I saw a beautiful Sebring Orange Z with a Black Stinger stripe coming up on us at a normal rate of speed. So I guess he was content for a while to follow behind as I had a few cars in front of me going 45 in a 30. About 15 miles in with no provocation and distant on coming traffic he decided to pass me and two other vehicles at a very high rate of speed as of he was showing me what the car can really do. First, I feel that this driver does us a discredit as Corvette Owners and makes us all look like aholes .Second, is I feel the need to rant because in the 13 years of owning Corvettes I have never encountered a fellow Corvette owner being aggressive to a fellow Corvette owner. I'll leave it at this. When you see a fellow Vette driver on the road please shoot him a wave instead of being an ahole.

Not trying to be another ahole but, did you just not like him passing you? You said he had no oncoming traffic and clear road ahead... Just don't see how that was being aggressive with another Vette owner... Seems to me like he was out enjoying his ride.

I’m guessing after driving 30-45 MPH on a back road that long they lost their patience. Been there and done that. I have nothing to prove. I’ve passed sports cars in my truck and know they are faster 😏

I have had a number of non vette drivers get aggressive around me when driving. I just wave and smile.

What exactly are you complaining about? You and two others poking along and he decides to pass you all without being reckless what is the problem.

Why do you think he was trying to "show you" anything? Maybe he just wanted to go faster than the group of cars he was following.

I just came back from my normal sunday drive and i had 3 idiots try to pull off the "i'm gonna ride your ***, then when there's an opening i'm going to switch lanes like fast and furious and punch it until i have to hit the brakes hard because traffic is coming up fast".
It was 2 BMW's, i suppose they were together because both of them were doing the tandem reckless driving on the highway. A X5M SUV and a camo wrapped M4.
Then towards the end before i got home i had a purple SRT charger again ride my ***, then i switched lanes because my exit was coming up, then he just gunned it like i was racing him.
Never understood why slower cars decide to pick a race when they clearly know you're not racing lol

A-holes come in many varieties and drive many models. I will say that when I'm out popping around in my Hellcat, occasionally I'll see a 5.0 or a scumaro push hard to get up to me only to fade away after they see what it is that I'm driving. Not so with the wife's Z51. They go for the dramatic pass by. It's all good. I do what I want when I want with my cars. Nobody goads me into anything. I'm pretty patient that way.

Guess you would have to have been there. Driving like an ahole is driving like an ahole. There is enjoying a ride in the country and then there is a violently aggressive way to pass someone let alone three cars with an oncoming car he could have seen in the distance. Completed his pass and continued at a high rate of speed on a road not designed for this kind of move. As a ZO6 owner twice over I respect the power and leave it for a road course.Dont abuse the power and I find more times than not we respect the power.
