Anyone else ride?
I was a motorcycle guy before I was a car guy, mostly because I could afford a fast motorcycle before I could afford a fast bike. In 2000 I had a homemade desktop background with a 1999 Hayabusa and a 2000 C5. I've since had many cars and bikes, including a 2001 Hayabusa and a 2004 C5. Currently I have a 2013 Hayabusa and my '16 Z06...

I ride, but my bikes are a bit slower, I ride for distance rather than speed. My bucket list trip this year, rode to Alaska from Wisconsin. Had ridden in every other state already.

Drifting
I haven't ridden a bike in about 35 years. But for one year (1970) I had a new Honda CB 750 K1 that was a blast. Put 10,000 miles on it mostly riding from LA to SF and back. Remember, back then any bikes worth riding (mostly Harleys) had only kick starting, drum brakes and leaked oil. The Honda was amazing for the time with electric start, disc brakes and never a drop of oil underneath. Four cylinders, four carbs, great fun. I miss it but could never get the wife to agree on a bike now. Even so, I always wistfuly look through Hemmings and certain auction listings for CB750s. I rarely see any--they seem fairly scarce. Probably just as well...--Bob

Nice. I had a gen 1 lightly modded busa that was a blast. Currently have a '16 S1000XR that's a blast. No great photos yet, here's a couple from Sunday. It's the only XR in the pic (white one).

Does this count? Used to be able to place 2 road bikes (carefully stacked) in the back of previous models. The newer Z’s are a bit smaller in the back.

tangentially related to the Z06. With the Z being nearly as fast as the Hayabusa, one must admit the two are, well, relative.
just wondered, interesting seeing all the replies.
Yes, bicyes count, I used to have a Specialized ShivTT I raced. I think we all just like fast stuff.

Pictures of Vettes included (to keep it Corvette oriented) 😉
I used to be all about the “crotch rockets” with no interest in baggers.
I suffered a house fire about 18 months back and lost my Busa.
I figured I was out the bike game (of which I actually got out of for about 10 years - before buying the Busa in 2016). But my Brother bought a 17 Road Glide Special and i started to kinda like em.
About 2 weeks ago I walked in a Harley dealership with no firm intentions to buy but ... by that evening, I was the owner of a 19 Road Glide Special!

I'm still riding my 2001 Hayabusa once or twice a week. I'm an old guy, rode some mopeds, scooters, and a go-kart back in the early 1960's. Got a Honda 90 around 1965, then a Honda 450 in the late 1960's. I lived in west Los Angeles back then (now I'm in Orange County), and most of the riders back then had British bikes, with the Norton probably the best of them since it had the rubber mounted subframe and engine, although Triumphs were more popular. The shorter riders preferred Sportsters, since the British bikes were relatively tall. For choppers, the most popular engine in those days was the pan head, and a popular trend on the engine was everything chromed except the barrels which were flat black. I finally got a Norton 850 Commando around 1975, but the places that could work on Nortons closed up shop , so I sold it and got a Suzuki GS1100e in 1982, then Kawasaki ZX-11, and then the 2001 Hayabusa. I got to see a few historical bikes back around 1970, Vincent Black Shadow, Royal Enfield Atlas, Ariel Square Four, ... .
I have a 2015 C7 Z06 3LZ M7 (without Z07), and it's nowhere near as fast as the Busa. The power to weight (including rider) on the Busa translates into a Z06 with 900 hp, and the bike is not traction limited (just wheelie limited). Still when on the bike, due to rider position and the power, you don't get a sense of the speed on the bike that you get in a car, even though the bike is significantly quicker.
Attached an image of the Busa. 2001 and 2002 were the only bikes to use the Falcon head pattern. From the side, you can see the modern art style Falcon head with the large screw heads as the eyes, the small screw heads as nostrils in the beak.
